World of Color is officially returning on April 22 to Disney California Adventure!
Watch Disney and Pixar stories soar to life on a vivid veil of mist during this breathtaking outdoor spectacular. This show features jets of water shoot into the air, lasers, pyrotechnics that explode in a blaze of brilliant color and music from your favorite films to create a magnificent piece of storytelling.
So in honor of the returning of this show, we want to share with you 5 fun facts you might not know about World of Color, check them out:
Do you remember the old “World of Color” tv show hosted by Walt Disney? This show from 1960 was the inspiration for the stunning show we enjoy at Disney California Adventure to this day. In fact, the song we hear was the opening and end theme song from the show written by Disney Legends Richard M. and Robert B. Sherman!
This nighttime spectacular feature a gigantic projected water screen of 380 feet wide by 50 feet high for a projection surface of 19,000 square feet!
The fountains in the show can send water to heights between 30 and 200 feet. Making them go higher than the top of Pixar Pal-A-Round.
The stage of World of Color in Paradise Bay is nearly one acre and longer than a football field.
During the show you will see your favorite disney characters from movies like Finding Nemo, The Little Mermaid, Toy Story, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King and even an appearance of Walt Disney!
