5 Great Reasons to Visit Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!!


It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…especially at Walt Disney World! Both Christmas trees and decorations are scattered throughout the Disney Parks and Resorts. What’s great about this time of the year is that Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is in full swing at Magic Kingdom. It’s a special hard ticket event offered on select nights. The Christmas party offers so much holiday entertainment and treats. That’s why we made a list of five reasons why you should go!

1.) Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade

The nighttime parade for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a festive celebration. A cavalcade of Disney characters lead the parade with Mickey and Minnie Mouse wearing holiday attire. The parade highlights “Frozen” characters with Elsa and Anna pulled by horses in a sleigh. Both Olaf and Kristoff follow with their own respective parade floats.

“Here Comes Santa Claus”

Of course it wouldn’t be a Christmas parade without seeing Santa Claus! The parade includes an array of toys, elves, gingerbread men, and reindeer sparking joy among spectators. Santa Claus arrives in spectacular fashion to wrap up the parade with a high note.

2.) Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks

The fireworks show is new this year for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. It’s narrated by Minnie Mouse as fireworks light up the sky. The castle features new projections and laser lights, which is a big visual upgrade compared to previous years. It enhances the spirit of the nighttime show with various depictions of Christmas decorations. The music selection is a mix of familiar Christmas carols and Disney songs. They even added some of the music from Olaf’s Frozen Adventure!

3.) Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration

For many, the stage show in front of Cinderella Castle is the highlight of the night at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Mickey Mouse and his Fantasyland friends take center stage with a series of musical acts. Seeing a wide assortment of characters come out for one show is fantastic! The colorful costumes and music can put any audience in cheerful holiday mood. With a nod to Muppet Christmas Carol, the cast of characters join Mickey in singing the classic “Feels Like Christmas” for the grand finale.

4.) A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas

Let’s not forget the stage show in Tomorrowland! “A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas” tells the story of Stitch learning about Santa Claus and the meaning of Christmas. The show features a series of musical numbers with Buzz Lightyear, Mike Wazowski, and talented backup dancers.

5.) Meeting Festive Disney Characters

Going to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a great way to meet hard-to-find Disney characters! Santa Goofy is hanging by the Barnstormer ride and the Seven Dwarfs are together as a group. “Zootopia” fans will be excited to see Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps  in Tomorrowland. Many of the Disney princesses have their prince with them at night, so the Christmas party is great for guests find these iconic Disney couples!
