It won’t be long before Walt Disney World celebrates its 50th anniversary. If you won’t be there to take in the fireworks, celebration, and magic. - Grab a Happy Meal from McDonalds
- In celebration of WDWs 50th Birthday, Disney and McDonalds have teamed up to release special Happy Meals toys. 50 different characters with the castle as a backdrop have become a scavenger hunt for Disney Diehards who have to collect them all! Even if you just want to collect one, make sure you check with your local McDonalds to see if these toys are available – Variety and Supply may vary depending on location.
- Watch The Imagineering Story on Disney+ – “What Would Walt Do”
- This episodes the highlights, the struggles and the overall triumph of making Walt DIsney World without the guidance of Walt himself. When walking through the parks, it is apparent that so much talent and hard work was put in. What ‘The Imagineering Story’ accomplishes is the breakdown of how much time and effort went into each detail to make the ordinary – simply extrordinary.
- Check out the 50th Anniversary Collection on Shop Disney
- The 50th anniversary collection is growing and will continue to grow even after the start of the 50th celebration. Spirit Jerseys, Sweatshirts, Pins – all will make their way on to the website for fans to purchase. If you make it to the park, there are now limits as to how much one can purchase – leaving more for all fans who are interested!
- Check Out the New Nighttime Spectaculars
- According to Disney Parks Blog, from the comfort of your own homes, you will be able to watch two nighttime spectaculars – one based out of Magic Kingdom (Disney Enchantment), the other out of EPCOT (Harmonious) . If interested, the times for each are listed below – so make sure you check back on the Disney Parks blog for more information.
- Wed, 9/29 – LIVE: “Harmonious” at EPCOT at 9:00 p.m. ET.
- Thurs, 9/30 – LIVE: “Disney Enchantment” at Magic Kingdom Park at 10:15 p.m. ET.
