7 Attractions at Walt Disney World that Service Animals are Permitted 1

Did you know that August 4th is Assistance Dog Day? Traveling with a Service Animal may be difficult but Walt Disney World is a fantastic location that welcomes them with open arms. So, first things first: What qualifies as a service animal? According to the Official Walt Disney World Website, a Service Animal is, “a dog or miniature horse that is trained to do work or perform tasks for, and to assist, an individual with a disability.”

If you were wondering if your Emotional Support Animal could attend the parks with you, unfortunately, they are not accepted under the Animal Policy section. Though this quote comes from a PlanDisney Q&A pertaining to Disneyland, the same applies to Walt Disney World – “All other animals, including emotional support, comfort or companion animals, are not considered service animals.”

A Kind Note: Please check with a host in advance for attraction and boarding information before attempting to board the ride with your service animal.

The Service Animals page on the official Walt Disney World website has more comprehensive information about what rides are and are not available. The list of Service Animal Relief Areas is also listed as well. We hope you have a wonderful time at Walt Disney World with your loyal bestie and let us know how magical your trip was!
