8 Fantastic Ways To Enjoy Pixar Fest With Your Friends and Family

With Pixar Fest just around the corner (April 13th), we thought we’d give those considering a visit to Disneyland Resort a taste of the amazing activities that you can enjoy. So bring your special someone, your best friend or the kids along for this fun-filled celebration of all things Pixar and be sure to take part in some of the events included in our list below:

1. Check out “Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular” fireworks display – One of the many things that Disney theme parks do consistently well is ending the night with a “BANG!” via one of their amazing nighttime fireworks displays. In that department, this special Pixar-themed show is sure to impress. Watch as the stories of some of your favorite Pixar films come to life through projections, pyrotechnics and special effects. The show will take place with four of Disneyland’s iconic locations as it’s backdrop. This includes Sleeping Beauty Castle, the Rivers of America, “its a small world” and Main Street U.S.A.

2. Indulge in special Pixar-themed treats – One of our favorite subjects to cover here at Disney Addicts is the amazing culinary treats that come out of Disneyland Resort and we expect Pixar Fest to be no exception. The remarkable Disney chefs are keeping Pixar Fest menu items under wraps, for now, be we fully expect it to be chock-a-block of amazing themed treats! Disney-foodies are encouraged to watch this space for the latest updates regarding Pixar Fest culinary creations.

3. Pick your perfect spot for the “Paint the Night Parade” – Another evening event not to be missed, this popular parade will make its return starting on April 13th. Starting in June it will also feature a new float featuring “The Incredibles.” So be sure to stake out your spot early as the return of this much-loved addition to Disneyland’s evening line-up is expected to be a real crowd pleaser.

4. Dress the part – If you’re heading to the parks for Pixar Fest then its time to get those matching Incredibles shirts or to Disney-bound as some of your favorite Pixar characters. Be a part of the action by dressing for the role!

5. Wave “Hello” to your favorite characters during the”Pixar Play Parade” – You don’t have to wait until the evening to see some of your favorite Pixar friends take to the streets. The “Pixar Play Parade” will be taking place during the day and will feature a catchy soundtrack that will have you humming throughout the day. The parade will be updated to include three new parade elements that feature characters from “Up”, “Inside Out” and the iconic Pixar Lamp! Be sure to have your cameras at the ready.

6. Surprise one another with some Pixar-themed goodies – Disney has yet to announce the amazing merchandise that will be unveiled for Pixar Fest but we imagine it will be mighty spectacular. So be sure to set aside some money in your Disney budget and treat your companion(s) for the day with a special Pixar-themed item to commemorate the occasion.

7. Relive some of your favorite Pixar moments with the Pixar Shorts film festival – For most Disney-fans the incredible shorts that come at the beginning of Pixar’s feature films will have a special place in your heart. Now is your chance to see them all again. Sunset Showcase Theater in Hollywood Land will feature rotating favorites such as “Lava” and “For the Birds” throughout most of the fest.

8. Enjoy some savings with the Southern California Ticket Offer – If you are a Southern California resident than a visit to Pixar Fest needn’t break the bank. Visit before May 24th and you can save up to 25% off select multi-day tickets.
