Question: When Does Disney Take Down Their Christmas Decorations?
Answer: Christmas Decorations will begin to disappear shortly after the New Year.
This is a great question for anyone traveling in late December/ early January! In fact, I was recently searching this out for my own vacation! Disney begins to take down decorations around January 2nd. It is a swift moving process and decorations disappear fast. If you plan on seeing them, plan on getting into the parks within the first few days of the New Year!
Some of the ending dates include:
*Osborne Spectacle of Lights (Hollywood Studios): Last Showing: January 4, 2015
*Candlelight Processional (EPCOT): Last Showing: December 30, 2014
*Holidays Around the World (EPCOT): Last Day: December 30, 2014
*Festival of the Season (Downtown Disney): Last Day: December 29, 2014
*Cinderella’s Castle Lighting: It is said that the last showing is between January 6th – 8th.
Keep me up to date with any changes to the above! I would love to hear about your experiences with the holiday decorations! I would also love to help you plan a magical holiday vacation! We’ll be headed there next week. We’ll keep our eyes open and let you know! We were there one year around this time, and one day the gardens in front of Epcot were all decorated for Christmas, and the next morning they were back to normal. Very quick turnover!
