5 Reasons You Should Take Your Toddler to Walt Disney World While They Are Still Little 1

Many people wait to bring their kids to Walt Disney World until they are older. There is no shame in that, however, there are many myths related to bringing toddlers that we need to bust. Not to mention, one of the best parts about taking a child under 3, is that it is FREE! Here are some reasons why we here at Disney Addicts think you should take your little ones while they are still little.

1. Your Little One Will Love the Characters (well most do anyway)- Most toddlers absolutely love meeting the characters and the characters  LOVE meeting your little ones! Many will crouch down or sit on the ground and play with your son or daughter making the experience so much more than a picture opportunity. The memories that are made will be captured by Cast Members and your cell phone. If you want to really be in the moment, let the Cast Members do the work and capture the memories as you enjoy the cuteness that is your toddler meeting some of their favorite Disney Characters.

2. There are More Toddler-Friendly Rides Than You May Think – You may think that your toddler will be too little to enjoy any of the rides at Walt Disney World, but that is not the case. There are so many rides that everyone in the family can enjoy regardless of their age or height. Here are a few rides your little is sure to love:

  1. It’s a Small World – Magic Kingdom
  2. Dumbo the Flying Elephant – Magic Kingdom
  3. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh – Magic Kingdom
  4. Toy Story Mania – Hollywood Studios
  5. Frozen Ever After – Epcot
  6. Spaceship Earth – Epcot
  7. Kilimanjaro Safaris – Animal Kingdom

3. The Shows Will Capture Their Imaginations – Toddlers love some of the amazing shows at Walt Disney World. Princess lovers are in awe at the Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage show at Hollywood Studios. Also at Hollywood Studios, toddlers can enjoy Disney Junior – Live on Stage! and A Frozen Sing-Along. At Animal Kingdom you can’t miss the Festival of the Lion King or Finding Nemo the Musical.

4. The Parades Will Bring Out Their Silly Sides – The excitement in your child’s eyes as they see Cinderella and Prince Charming rolling down the street towards them as part of the parades at Walt Disney World is priceless. Watch them groove to the music, squeal as Baloo gives them a high-five, and wave vigorously to get Snow White’s attention. You may even enjoy watching your little one’s reactions more than watching the parade yourself!

5. There is Yummy Food for Even the Pickiest of Eaters – Disney sure knows how to please every palate. From picky eaters to mini-foodies, you are sure to find food that will make your little nugget happy and full. Even if mac and cheese isn’t on the menu and that is all that your little one will eat, you may be able to request some at your dining locations. If the chef can make it happen, he or she will.

Many people would argue that you should wait until your child will remember the trip before taking them to Walt Disney World. You could say that the memories are captured in the brains and hearts of the parents and in the amazing pictures you get to take home with you. It is different for everyone, but if you plan on going to Walt Disney World more than once, then why not take your curious, silly, and fun loving toddler while they are still little?
