If you are heading out early in the day to the parks at Walt Disney World, one of the questions you may ask is “Where can I get breakfast in Magic Kingdom?” Well, there are several options depending on what you are looking for and how you would like to plan your day. You will find table service, quick service, and snack options that are all great.
Table Service Options
Crystal Palace is a table service restaurant that has a character meal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Here you will find Winnie the Pooh and friends, along with buffet-style dining. If you are on any of the dining plans, this will be one table service credit.
Cinderella’s Royal Table is a signature dining experience, a character meal with several princesses. On the dining plan, this meal is 2 table service credits. This meal has a prix fixe menu and is INSIDE Cinderella Castle, one of the only ways that you can go inside.
The Plaza Restaurant started serving breakfast fairly recently. There is, at times, walk-up availability here. You will find many of your breakfast favorites, including Mickey Waffles, Create-Your-Own Omelet, and Steak and Eggs.
Quick Service & Snack Options
Be Our Guest is a quick-service meal for breakfast and lunch. However, you do still need reservations for these meals and there are no characters here. You are able to order your food ahead of time using the My Disney Experience app and the food will be brought to your table generally pretty quickly after your arrival.
Sleepy Hollow is located just across the bridge as you head toward Liberty Square. This location does not accept the dining plan but if you are looking for a waffle sandwich, this is where you want to go!
Main Street Bakery is a great place to stop if you love your coffee in the morning! This location has all of your favorites from Starbucks Coffee and many great breakfast options including muffins, pastries, cinnamon rolls, etc. There are also some sandwich options. If you are looking for cupcakes, this is another great place to find them! You ARE at Walt Disney World so cupcakes are a great breakfast! Many of the choices here count as snack credits if you are using a dining plan, including all sizes of drinks at Starbucks! My family loves grabbing a quick breakfast here and sitting at the tables outside, right by the Plaza Restaurant, before heading up to view the welcome show, now called Let the Magic Begin.
Gaston’s Tavern is where you will find a GIANT cinnamon roll and a delicious drink called LeFou’s Brew. The cinnamon roll can easily be shared and is perfect if you are looking for a quick breakfast item before exploring the rest of Fantasyland.
For any of the restaurants requiring a reservation, the 8:00 am reservation time is highly sought after! It will get you access to the park before anyone else. If you are able to grab one of these, be sure to arrive at the Magic Kingdom at least 15 minutes prior. You will see Cast Members with signs where you can check in for these reservations. Once checked in, you will enter the line and be escorted into the park to get to your reservation on time.
Did You Know…?
Did you know that you can now enter the Magic Kingdom at 8:00 am every day? You are allowed to enter the park and walk along Main Street U.S.A for shopping, meals, etc. until the rest of the park opens at 9:00 am. One of my favorite things to do on these days is to arrive right at 8:00 am, get breakfast at the Main Street Bakery and then take pictures and relax until it’s time for “Rope Drop”. Please note though that on some days, there are Extra Magic Hours, for guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort where the park will be open in its entirety starting at 8:00 am. While some of the restaurants above are located on Main Street U.S.A. and you will be able to explore before the rest of the park opens, you will not be able to get to some of them before that time. The exception, of course, is if you have a reservation. If that is the case, you will be escorted to the restaurant and if you are lucky, you will be able to line up for the ride of your choice as soon as you are finished eating. While you are waiting for “rope drop”, take advantage of the opportunity to take some pictures, relax, and even enjoy the welcome show on the stage in front of Cinderella Castle. Then, enjoy your day! Getting to the Magic Kingdom early may give you a head start on riding many of the rides, as you will often find shorter wait times during the first few hours.
