Merry Christmas….in July!! Let’s head to Walt Disney World during Christmastime!! It’s never too early to start planning for Christmas, in fact immediately following Christmas I automatically start looking for deals for the following year. The same goes for my Disney vacations. As soon as I leave, I automatically start saving and planning to go back! I have been to Disney during many different seasons and holidays, but Walt Disney World during Christmas is one of my favorite times to go!
With a range of promotions being released, the options are open to spending the most magical time of the year at the most magical place on earth! Still on the fence? Here are a few Holiday must-dos while at Walt Disney World during the Christmas season!
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
The number one to-do that should be on everyone’s list is to attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Taking place at the Magic Kingdom on select nights November 8th through December 22, 2019, this cheerfully jam-packed party is worth every penny. Guests can enjoy little to no wait times for some of your favorite Disney attractions, seasonal treats, shows, parades, fireworks, exclusive meet and greets and more! Tickets to these events are sold separately. Pro-Tip: Don’t buy a park ticket on the day of your event as guests can enter the park starting at 4 pm for the event. Instead, enjoy a day at the pool before you go to the party!
New this year! Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show will be debuting during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party with a brand new evening firework extravaganza. The new show will even feature some of your favorite seasonal songs such as “Joy to the World” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”.
Epcot International Festival of the Holidays and Candlelight Processional.
The second favorite event held at Walt Disney World during Christmastime is the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays. During this special event, all 11 of the World Showcase nations display their country’s decoration, traditions, and delicious treats! Guests can also enjoy live musical performances with costumed performers.
Also held at Epcot, the Candlelight Processional is an Epcot Tradition held at the American Gardens Theatre in the World Showcase. During this event, celebrity guest speakers retell the first Christmas story. The processional will also feature a full orchestra and choir which also brings the wondrous tale to life.
New this year, Christmas at the Animal Kingdom!
From Discovery Island to Pandora, the Animal Kingdom is getting into the Christmas spirit this season with brand-new holiday entertainment and decorations, starting with a giant Christmas tree at the entrance to the park. In Dinoland U.S.A. the characters of Donald’s Dino-bash will be getting into the holiday spirit with a Holiday Hoopla Dance party at Truck-O-Saurus with plenty of interactive fun and games.
Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam!
Of course, don’t forget about the always popular Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam at Walt Disney World during Christmastime! Held at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. From November 8 through January 5, 2020, guests will be dazzled with incredible holiday music, pyrotechnics, special effects, and projections!
