Walt Disney World has over 25 Resort Hotels on site to choose from – and they are all simply amazing – from the theming to the rooms to the customer service – it’s some of the best accommodations around! Disney World offers three types of Resorts – Value, Moderate and Deluxe. As you can probably guess, the price point is the lowest for Value, and goes up with each level – but as the price goes up, so do the amenities and services available at the Resorts, too! The Deluxe Resorts offer some of the best rooms, views, and food around – and if you’re not sure where to stay for your WDW vacation, I HIGHLY recommend you look into a Deluxe Resort – specifically, one of the Top 3 WDW Deluxe Resorts. What makes these the best? Read on to find out!
Polynesian Village Resort: Location, Location, Location! Disney’s Polynesian Resort is located just a stone’s throw from the Magic Kingdom, and it offers Monorail & boat transportation there as well as bus transportation to the other Theme Parks and points of interest within WDW. The Resort itself is gorgeous – the lush tropical greenery and plants everywhere make you feel like you really are in the tropics! The rooms are huge and comfortable, and you can even book a Club Level room – which among other things provides you access to an exclusive private lounge where you can enjoy an amazing view of Magic Kingdom’s nightly fireworks. OH – and – the FOOD here is to die for! Whether you’re just grabbing a delicious tropical drink at the bar, or enjoying Tonga Toast at Kona Cafe before you hit the Parks, or grabbing an amazing dinner at Ohana – the dining options are endless, and amazing. The kids (and adults, too!) will love the main volcano-themed pool which offers water slide and splash area for the little ones, as well as a water slide for the bigger kids, too!
Animal Kingdom Lodge: The atmosphere here is truly amazing – from the moment you walk into the lobby you will feel as though you have been transported to the wild plains of Africa – complete with animals! The savannah is right outside the Resort and you can watch animals graze all day from the viewing area, OR from your Resort room – as there are select rooms that face the area directly. While all of the WDW Resorts are family-friendly, Animal Kingdom Lodge really goes above and beyond to ensure the little ones are enjoying their time there – from the pools to nightly campfires to movies under the stars and the Hakuna Matata Playground – they have it all and the kids will love it! Not only are the rooms and Resort beautiful, but you can experience some authentic African cuisine at their amazing restaurants, too – Boma is a personal favorite of mine – a buffet bursting with plenty of fresh dishes to please any palate – it’s a must-do for sure
Beach Club Resort: This unique property will make you feel relaxed instantly – it’s beach-y “go with the flow” vibe is the perfect place to unwind and take it slow! One big bonus for Epcot lovers is that you can WALK there from the Beach Club Resort – take a short 5 minute walk and then boom you’re enjoying Epcot’s World Showcase! Oh, and you can walk to Hollywood Studios too – that walk will take about 15 minutes – so if that’s too long for you, you can hop on a ferry boat instead. But be sure to build in some Resort time during your trip too – as the whole family will love exploring Stormalong bay – a 3-acre wonderland of waterslides, a lazy river, kiddie and adult swim areas, and more! And one of my favorite character experiences is here too – breakfast at Cape May Cafe features amazing food PLUS Goofy and pals dressed in their beachwear and snorkel gear.
