Leaves are changing colors, there is a chill to the air, and pumpkin spice is everywhere! Fall has arrived and Halloween is almost here. If you want to add a classic seasonal movie to your celebrating, check out the titles below! All of these are on Disney+ right now.
All four Halloweentown movies are available on Disney+. Halloweentown is a place where creepy creatures lead very normal lives. Each movie follows Marnie, a witch who has to protect her town against different evils.
Hocus Pocus is a fan-favorite that follows a trio of 300-year old witches who want to reclaim their youth. First, they must outwit three kids and a talking cat.
Twitches follows twin sisters who discover that their unusual powers double in strength when they work together. There’s also a sequel, Twitches Too, where the sisters learn about each other and how to use their powers.
The Haunted Mansion is based on the classic Disney ride of the same name. With the help of supernatural psychic Madame Leota, a real estate agent, played by Eddie Murphy, and his family must break the curse of Gracey Manor.
I have yet to meet someone that doesn’t like The Nightmare Before Christmas. My kids ask to watch it all year round! You can’t go wrong watching Jack Skellington discover Christmas even if he ends up ruining the holiday.
Some great animated movies to watch this time of year are Monsters Inc and Monsters University. With Monsters Inc it’s not the humans who are scared, but the monsters! Mike and Sully work together to keep a little girl out of sight and get her back home. Monsters University is a prequel to Monsters Inc and shows us how Mike and Sully became best friends.
This Disney Channel original movie follows the Hansen kids. They have big plans for the night but they are grounded. They will do anything to get their mom out of the house, even set her up on a date with a vampire.
We always knew there was something under the bed! Frances McCausland calls on her brother’s imaginary friend to banish a mischievous Boogeyman who has framed her for his pranks.
You can watch two versions of Frankenweenie on Disney+! The Tim Burton version from 2012 and the original from 1984. The 1984 version is a short film and only 26 minutes long. Both are about a dog named Sparky who comes back to life as Frankenweenie!
The final movie on our list is The Scream Team. The Carlyle kids accompany their father to his childhood home for the funeral of their grandfather. As the town prepares for its Halloween festival, the kids discover that ghosts really do exist!
