Joe Vitale, Senior Production Designer with Walt Disney Imagineering helped to ensure the Imagineering team on the creative vision for this new mini-land, while overseeing design, production and installation. We think they all did an amazing job because the attraction and pavilion look fantastic!
Walk along the beautiful walkway along the water, designed to evoke the feeling of a Parisian park beside the river Seine to get to the new area where you will find Chef Remy waiting for you around the corner!
Continuing down this path and turning into the new Alles des Merchands (Alley of the Merchants), you’ll find a the new La Creperie de Paris, as well as, a beautiful fountain and the entrance of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at the end!

At La Creperie de Paris you can enjoy sweet crepes and savory buckwheat gelattes! This restaurant features a traditional blue facade found throughout the Brittany region of France, which is both well known for its crepes and the inspiration for the different dining locations in the pavilion.
Keep walking and you will find a cast-iron arcade that creates a natural transition from the real world of France to Remy’s fantastic Paris, just like in the movie! Facades in this area feature a bolder color palette and exaggerated architectural details, evoking the whimsical world of Paris seen in Ratatouille.
Details are everywhere, even on the pavement! Explore every corner of Paris while spotting Remy on top of the fountain or on the sewers, a detail that plays homage to the scene where Remy is first brought to Paris!
Other cool detail is the Gusteau’s restaurant sign in the distance that will illuminate at night!
There are many fun nods to other characters from the films as well, such as these wine bottles in the neighboring storefront featuring the food critic Anton Ego. If you take a closer you look you might recognize the significance of the vintages found on each bottle, as they relate to milestone years for the Ratatouille story.
A fun photo op you will find at the France pavilion expansion is Chef Skinner’s scooter, as well as, Chef Colette’s motorbike!
Details are very important because they help get the guests immerse in the story and set the stage for the experience within the attraction. So mark your calendars because you will be able to enjoy the magic of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure on October 1st!
