LOCATION
When purchasing a home, the number one rule is “location, location, location”! Location is a big deal when choosing your Disney resort as well. Deluxe resorts are close to at least one of the Walt Disney World theme parks.
Disney’s Polynesian Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, and Disney’s Contemporary are quick monorail rides away from Magic Kingdom. Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is just a quick boat ride from the park. For those having a Magic Kingdom-focused vacation, staying at one of these Deluxe Resorts can be highly beneficial.
Guests wanting to be close to Epcot or Disney’s Hollywood Studios will want to look at those Deluxe Resorts around Crescent Lake. Disney’s Beach & Yacht Club Resorts, and Disney’s Boardwalk Resort are all an easy walk or boat ride away from the two theme parks.
EXTENDED EVENING HOURS
One of the bigger perks guests staying at deluxe Disney resorts receive is Extended Evening Hours. These special hours give guests access to a specific park (typically EPCOT or Magic Kingdom) after the park has closed to regular guests. During that time, guests can enjoy some of the more popular rides with lower crowds. Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom both have Extended Evening Hours on select nights through the end of the year.
GREAT FOOD
Deluxe Disney resorts offer some of the top dining experiences at Walt Disney World! From signature-high end dining experiences to quick-service options with well-flavored entrees, the dining at deluxe resorts is not to be missed. Some of the top table service dining locations include:
- California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Yatchman Steakhouse at Disney’s Yacht Club
- Saana at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
- O’hana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
- Narcoossee’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
There are some great quick-service locations at the deluxe resorts as well. From Captain Cooks at Disney’s Polynesian Resort to the Contempo Cafe at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, there are plenty of options guests will enjoy.
POOLS
Some of the best pools on property can be found at the deluxe resorts! If you plan to spend time swimming while on your vacation, you’ll want to stay at a resort with one of these awesome pools.
Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club Resorts not only has a great slide for kids, but it also has a lazy river and a sand bottom area for little ones to play with. The Beach pool at Disney’s Grand Floridian is a beautiful pool with waterfalls, zero-depth beach entry, and a cool waterslide.
If you like a more relaxing pool experience, most deluxe resorts have quiet pools. They are lovely pool areas that are perfect for a more tranquil swimming experience.
From magical themes to nice, large rooms and fantastic dining and entertainment, deluxe Resorts are a great place to stay during a Walt Disney World vacation! Do you have a favorite deluxe Disney resort?
