Supporting this global team are the Disney Ambassadors, the friendly faces who embody the spirit of Disney around the world. As the newest members of this prestigious program are being selected for the 2026-2027 term, we’re looking back at the rich history of this one-of-a-kind role.

What Is a Disney Ambassador?
The Disney Ambassador Program is a worldwide network of cast members who serve as official spokespersons and cheerleaders for their respective sites. They act as “goodwill emissaries,” representing cast, crew, and Imagineers at major milestones like new openings and anniversaries. Their duties also include championing Disney’s commitment to local communities and sharing cast member stories, both inside the parks and beyond.
The program’s origins trace back to Walt Disney himself. During Disneyland’s 10th anniversary in 1965, Walt needed someone to represent the resort at special “Tencennial” events. He appointed Disneyland tour guide Julie Reihm Casaletto as the first-ever Disney Ambassador, setting the stage for a decades-long tradition.
Announcing the New 2026-2027 Disney Ambassadors
The newest Disney Ambassadors have been selected for Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa.
Disneyland Resort: Congratulations to Michele Mary and Oralia Neria Felix, who were chosen to represent thousands of cast members at Disneyland Resort. Selected on September 18, 2025, in a special ceremony at Disneyland park, they will serve as official spokespeople and share stories of cast member life over the next two years.
“The most emotional part of the day was seeing my parents’ faces when my name got called,” said Oralia. “I’m so happy that I can make them proud.”
Walt Disney World Resort: The new team for Walt Disney World has been announced! Kylee Withers and Phelicia Blake will represent the resort’s 80,000 cast members. With significant growth on the horizon, this team will be part of many milestone moments. They will spend the coming weeks training with the current Ambassadors to prepare for their new roles.
Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa: Shawny Morey has been named the 2026-2027 Aulani Ambassador. Shawny, who began her Disney journey as a part-time hostess, will now represent Aulani’s more than 1,700 cast members. A cast member since 2013, she is eager to highlight the stories of her fellow cast members and share the resort’s deep connection to Hawaiian culture with the community.
“Aulani is truly my second home, and cast members are like ʻOhana,” Shawny said. “This role provides a meaningful way to give back to them while showcasing their talents and the Aulani values that unite us.”
These new Ambassadors will join a global family that includes teams at Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disney Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland, and Shanghai Disney Resort, fostering a network of collaboration and magic for cast members and guests around the world.
