Spring Magic: The Cutest New Baby Animals to Spot at Disney World Right Now
Spring has officially sprung at Walt Disney World, and honestly, the cuteness factor is completely off the charts right now! As we wrap up Earth Month, there is a major baby boom happening behind the scenes at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. We are talking about a season packed with adorable new faces, huge milestones, and total heartwarming vibes.

First up, the Masai giraffe herd just got a whole lot cuter. Back in April, a female calf named Ivy was born to her proud mom, Willow. She arrived at a 120 pounds and six feet tall, but she has been growing like a weed. Ivy recently made her big savanna debut on Kilimanjaro Safaris! She is already weighing in at nearly 300 pounds and standing 7½ feet tall. Guests can now spot her exploring her surroundings, showing off a super curious personality, and hanging out with the herd, including her half-brother Tucker, who was born in 2025.

While Ivy is busy melting hearts, her arrival is actually a massive win for wildlife. Masai giraffes are currently endangered, with only about 30,000 left in the wild. Thanks to the Association of Zoos and Aquariums Species Survival Plan, Disney works around the clock to ensure a healthy population for these gentle giants. Disney animal keeper Bri shared that Ivy passed her first checkup with flying colors, and while Willow is happily in charge, the whole care team has been thrilled watching this little rockstar learn something new every day.
More Cutness Over at Animal Kingdom Lodge

The giraffe barn isn’t the only place celebrating new life! Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, a whole squad of baby animals is stealing the spotlight. For starters, there’s a precious male nyala calf named Parker. Right now, he has white stripes and spots to help him camouflage, but as he grows, he’ll get a darker coat and those iconic spiral horns. Mel, an animal keeper at the Lodge, mentioned that even though they’ve been welcoming babies for over 25 years, every single arrival is unique and special.

If you love high-energy cuteness, you’ll want to keep an eye out for the new red river hog piglets! Moms Clementine and Persimmon have their hands full with little Mason, Cooper, Phillip, and Demi. These pint-sized piglets are already bursting with personality, sticking close to their moms while bravely discovering their new home on the savanna.

And we can’t forget about Mabel, who is making history as the first Ankole cattle calf born at Walt Disney World in more than 20 years! She is thriving under the care of Disney’s experts, and though she’s little right now, she will eventually grow those massive, sweeping horns that make Ankole cattle look so legendary.
Making a Real Difference

While some of these youngsters are still spending quality time backstage bonding with their moms, getting strong, and receiving top-tier checkups, they’ll all be out exploring the savannas this summer. Seeing a baby animal up close is always unforgettable, but it also sparks a real connection and appreciation for the wild.

These milestones are a beautiful reflection of Disney’s bigger mission. Since 1995, the Disney Conservation Fund has directed more than $141 million to global community programs that protect wildlife and inspire environmental action. Thanks to the amazing cast members and keepers, these new babies aren’t just cute faces, they’re real-life conservation heroes. We can’t wait for you to spot them on your next Disney vacation!
