Ahoy, friends! If you’ve been dreaming of turquoise water, a lounge chair with your name on it and Mickey waving from the pier, a Disney Cruise Line Bahamas getaway might be the easiest “yes” you’ll ever say. A while back we put together a guide just for the Disney Wish, but so much has changed since then. There’s a brand-new ship in the mix, ships are swapping home ports, and there are more ways than ever to visit both of Disney’s Bahamian islands on one trip.
So I dug into every Bahamas sailing Disney Cruise Line currently has on the books for the rest of 2026 and all of 2027. Below you’ll find every ship that sails there, the home ports, the islands, sample itineraries, full date tables, specialty sailings and my best planning tips.
And yes, I’m giving my favorite kind of sailing its own spotlight: the double dip, where you visit both Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point on the same cruise. Once you’ve done one, it’s really hard to go back. Look for the 🏝️🏝️ icon throughout this guide.

Why a Disney Cruise Line Bahamas Trip Is So Hard to Beat
I love a long itinerary as much as the next cruise fan, but the Bahamas is where Disney Cruise Line really shines. Here’s why I keep coming back.
- Two Disney islands. No other cruise region gives you Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay. These are Disney-run beach days, with lunch, lounge chairs, towels and characters included in your fare.
- Short and sweet options. Three- and four-night sailings are perfect for first-timers, little kids and anyone testing the waters before booking a week at sea.
- Easy to get to. Most Bahamas sailings leave from Florida, so many families can drive to the port or pair a cruise with a few days at Walt Disney World.
- Tons of choice. For the rest of 2026 and 2027, five different ships sail Bahamas itineraries from three home ports.
Which Disney Ships Sail to the Bahamas in 2026 and 2027?
Here’s the quick version of who’s offering Disney Cruise Line Bahamas sailings, based on the official Find a Cruise listings as I pulled them on Sept. 26, 2026:
- Disney Wish from Port Canaveral (3 and 4 nights)
- Disney Fantasy from Port Canaveral (mostly 4 and 5 nights)
- Disney Dream from Fort Lauderdale, with a stint at Port Canaveral in 2027 (3 to 6 nights)
- Disney Destiny from Fort Lauderdale, moving to Port Canaveral in late 2027 (mostly 4 and 5 nights)
- Disney Magic from Galveston, Texas (a handful of 7-night sailings)
The Treasure, Wonder and Adventure aren’t sailing Bahamas-only itineraries in this window (more on them below).
Ship-by-Ship Guide to Disney Cruise Line Bahamas Sailings
Disney Wish: The Short-Cruise Superstar
The Wish is the queen of the quick Disney Cruise Line Bahamas getaway. She sails 3-night and 4-night cruises from Port Canaveral, and most 3-nighters pair Nassau with Castaway Cay. The 4-nighters add a sea day, and some are double dips that visit both Disney islands.
Signature fun: the AquaMouse water attraction, dinner with Anna and Elsa at Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure, Worlds of Marvel and the out-of-this-world Hyperspace Lounge for adults.
When she sails the Bahamas: October 2026 through April 2027. Then, per the current listings, the Wish heads across the Atlantic for a summer in Europe and a fall season out of New York before returning to Port Canaveral and Bahamas sailings in mid-November 2027.
Disney Fantasy: The Double-Dip Champion
If you want to see both islands, the Fantasy is the ship to watch. She sails 4-night and 5-night Bahamas cruises from Port Canaveral, and most of her Bahamas sailings in this window visit both Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay. Many of the 5-nighters add Nassau too.
In 2027 she also sails Pixar Days at Sea cruises and a few with two Castaway Cay stops plus Lookout Cay.
Signature fun: the AquaDuck water coaster that loops around the top deck.
When she sails the Bahamas: from Port Canaveral all the way from late September 2026 through November 2027, then she shifts to Fort Lauderdale in December 2027.
Disney Dream: The Home-Port Hopper
The Dream offers a little of everything: 3-night, 4-night and a few longer holiday sailings. From Fort Lauderdale, her 3-nighters focus on Lookout Cay (usually with Nassau), and her 4-nighters include double dips.
Here’s the fun twist: from late April to mid-November 2027, the Dream moves to Port Canaveral, where she’ll sail 3-night Nassau and Castaway Cay trips plus lots of 4-night double dips. She heads back to Fort Lauderdale in late November 2027.
Signature fun: the AquaDuck water coaster, just like her sister, the Fantasy.
Disney Destiny: The Newest Ship in the Bahamas
The Destiny is Disney’s heroes-and-villains ship, and she’s sailing 4-night and 5-night Bahamas cruises from Fort Lauderdale. Her 5-night itineraries are some of my favorites on the whole schedule, because many of them hit Castaway Cay, Lookout Cay and Nassau.
Signature fun: a Grand Hall inspired by Black Panther, the musical dinner at Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King, and a water coaster that sends you up a mountain full of Disney villains.
When she sails the Bahamas: from Fort Lauderdale from October 2026 through November 2027, mixed in with Caribbean sailings. At the end of November 2027 she moves to Port Canaveral. The listings also show a few 3-night sailings from Fort Lauderdale in late summer 2027.
Disney Magic: The Texas Option
Live closer to Texas than Florida? The Magic, Disney’s original ship, sails a handful of 7-night Bahamas cruises from Galveston. That means lots of relaxing sea days on the way there and back.
Signature fun: the AquaDunk drop slide and dinner at Rapunzel’s Royal Table.
When she sails the Bahamas: just six departures are listed: Dec. 27, 2026, plus Jan. 24, Jan. 31, April 18, Nov. 22 and Dec. 27, 2027. The two January 2027 sailings include Marvel Days at Sea.
What About the Disney Treasure, Wonder and Adventure?
- Disney Treasure: This adventure-themed ship (hello, Plaza de Coco and the Haunted Mansion Parlor!) sails 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral that include a Castaway Cay day. Her first Bahamas-only sailing I found is Jan. 9, 2028.
- Disney Wonder: She’s on the West Coast, sailing Baja and Mexican Riviera cruises from San Diego, plus Alaska from Vancouver in summer 2027.
- Disney Adventure: Disney’s newest ship is based in Singapore, sailing 3- and 4-night cruises in Southeast Asia, so no Bahamas for her.
Home Ports for a Disney Cruise to the Bahamas
For the rest of 2026 and 2027, Disney Cruise Line Bahamas sailings leave from three U.S. ports.
- Port Canaveral, Florida: The biggest Bahamas hub, with the Wish, Fantasy, Dream (summer and fall 2027) and Destiny (starting late November 2027). It’s about an hour from Orlando, which makes a park-and-cruise vacation super easy.
- Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida: Home to the Dream and Destiny for most of this window, plus the Fantasy starting in December 2027.
- Galveston, Texas: Home to those few 7-night Magic sailings.
I didn’t find any Bahamas sailings currently listed from Miami, New York or San Juan in this window. A few one-way Caribbean cruises between San Juan and Florida do stop at both Disney islands, though.

The Destinations: Castaway Cay, Lookout Cay and Nassau
Every Disney Cruise Line Bahamas itinerary in this window is built from the same three stops. Here’s what makes each one special.
Disney Castaway Cay
Castaway Cay is Disney’s private island, and the ship docks right there, so you just walk off and start your beach day. Your fare covers a lot: the family beach, a teen beach and the adults-only Serenity Bay, plus lounge chairs, umbrellas, towels, BBQ lunch, soft-serve and drink stations.
Kids can join supervised fun at Scuttles Cove, and runners can tackle the self-paced Castaway Cay 5K for a finisher medal. Cabanas, snorkel gear, kayaks and Port Adventures like parasailing cost extra. Get the full scoop on Disney’s Castaway Cay page.
Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point
Lookout Cay is Disney’s newer Bahamian destination on the island of Eleuthera, and it has a totally different vibe. It celebrates Bahamian culture, with the RUSH! Junkanoo celebration, the Goombay Cultural Center and a nature trail out to the historic lighthouse.
It also has a family beach and an adults-only Serenity Bay, a BBQ lunch at True-True BBQ, soft-serve, the Sebastian’s Cove splash pad and the Rush Out Gush Out water play area. You walk off the ship on a long pier, and trams help you get around.
One important note from Disney: guests 18 and older should bring a passport or government-issued photo ID to go ashore and get back on board at both Disney islands. You can learn more on Disney’s Lookout Cay page.
Nassau
Nassau is the capital of The Bahamas and the classic Disney Cruise Line port. You can explore on your own, book a Port Adventure, or simply enjoy a quiet ship while everyone else heads ashore. I love Nassau days for a nap by the pool and shorter lines on board.
The Double Dip: Sailings That Visit Both Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay 🏝️🏝️
Okay, this is my favorite part of the whole guide. A double dip is any sailing that stops at both Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point on the same cruise. You get two completely different Disney beach days, and in my opinion it’s the best way to do a Disney Cruise Line Bahamas trip. It’s my favorite kind of Disney cruise, period.
The good news? There are a lot of them. I counted 151 Disney Cruise Line Bahamas double-dip sailings currently listed between now and the end of 2027. Here’s who offers them:
- Disney Fantasy (Port Canaveral): The double-dip champ. 4-night sailings with both islands plus a sea day run Sept. 30, 2026 through Nov. 24, 2027 (21 sailings). The 5-night version adds Nassau too, with 38 sailings from Oct. 4, 2026 to Oct. 31, 2027. There are also five 2027 5-night sailings that skip Nassau, and four of those stop at Castaway Cay twice.
- Disney Destiny (Fort Lauderdale): 5-night sailings visiting Castaway Cay, Lookout Cay and Nassau run from Oct. 5, 2026 through Nov. 15, 2027 (21 sailings), plus 4-night double dips on Nov. 21 and Dec. 19, 2026, and Aug. 23 through Sept. 13 and Nov. 20, 2027. After her move to Port Canaveral, look for Dec. 8, Dec. 12 and Dec. 29, 2027.
- Disney Dream (Fort Lauderdale and Port Canaveral): 4-night double dips from Fort Lauderdale in fall and winter, plus 18 from Port Canaveral between May 10 and Nov. 8, 2027. She also has a few 5- and 6-night options.
- Disney Wish (Port Canaveral): 4-night double dips about every two weeks from Oct. 12, 2026 through March 29, 2027, then again from Nov. 22, 2027.
- Disney Magic (Galveston): one 7-night double dip on Dec. 27, 2027.
Bonus: Sailings With Two Stops at Castaway Cay Plus Lookout Cay
Want to go even bigger? A few sailings stop at Castaway Cay twice and Lookout Cay once. Disney labels them “2 Stops at Castaway Cay” on the listings, and they’re rare treats:
- Disney Destiny: 7-night Very Merrytime cruise from Fort Lauderdale, Dec. 5, 2026 (also visits Nassau)
- Disney Fantasy: 5-night cruises from Port Canaveral on Jan. 15, March 26, June 27 and Aug. 13, 2027
- Disney Dream: 6-night Very Merrytime cruise from Fort Lauderdale, Nov. 22, 2027 (also visits Nassau)
A handful of Caribbean sailings also stop at both islands, like some 7-night Eastern Caribbean cruises on the Destiny and Dream from Fort Lauderdale. Not Bahamas-only, but they count in my book!

Disney Cruise Line Bahamas itineraries shuffle the order of stops from sailing to sailing, so always check the day-by-day plan for your exact date. Here are the most common options:
- 3-Night Classic (Disney Wish from Port Canaveral): Nassau and Castaway Cay. Two port days, no sea day. It’s the perfect sampler.
- 3-Night Lookout Cay Escape (Disney Dream from Fort Lauderdale): Lookout Cay and Nassau, or Lookout Cay with a sea day on select dates.
- 4-Night Double Dip 🏝️🏝️ (Fantasy, Wish, Dream or Destiny): Castaway Cay, Lookout Cay and one day at sea to enjoy the ship.

- Halloween on the High Seas: In fall 2026, Bahamas departures run from Sept. 30 to Oct. 30 on the Wish, Fantasy, Dream and Destiny. For fall 2027, look for the Dream (from Port Canaveral), the Fantasy and the Destiny between Sept. 6 and Oct. 31. Bonus: every fall 2027 Halloween sailing on the Fantasy is a double dip!
- Very Merrytime Cruises: Holiday Bahamas sailings start Nov. 9, 2026 and Nov. 8, 2027 across the Wish, Fantasy, Dream and Destiny, with one Magic sailing from Galveston on Nov. 22, 2027.

How to Choose the Right Disney Cruise Line Bahamas Sailing
With this many options, here’s how I’d narrow it down:
- First cruise or little ones? Start with a 3-night Wish sailing from Port Canaveral. It’s short, easy and packed with Disney magic. The Dream’s 3-nighters from Fort Lauderdale are another great pick.
- Want the best of the islands? Book a double dip 🏝️🏝️. A 4-night Fantasy, Wish or Dream sailing gets you both islands plus a sea day, and it’s my number one recommendation for most families.
- Want it all? The 5-night Fantasy or Destiny sailings with Castaway Cay, Lookout Cay and Nassau give you three stops and a sea day. Chef’s kiss.
- Want the newest ship? Choose the Destiny from Fort Lauderdale, or from Port Canaveral starting in late 2027.
- Driving from Texas or the Gulf? The Magic’s 7-nighters from Galveston skip the flight to Florida.
- Love themed sailings? Line up your dates with Halloween on the High Seas, Very Merrytime or Pixar Days at Sea.
Best Time for a Disney Cruise to the Bahamas
The Bahamas is warm pretty much all year, so there’s no truly bad time for a Disney Cruise Line Bahamas trip. Here’s how I think about the seasons:
- Winter and spring (January to April): Milder temperatures and lots of sunshine. Spring break weeks fill up fast.
- Summer (June to August): Hot and humid, with the warmest water. Kids are out of school, so expect full ships.
- Fall (September to November): Halloween on the High Seas and the start of Very Merrytime season. It overlaps with the heart of hurricane season, though.
- December: Holiday magic everywhere, and the week between Christmas and New Year’s is one of the busiest of the year.
The Atlantic hurricane season officially runs June 1 through Nov. 30. Cruise lines watch the weather closely and may adjust an itinerary to keep guests safe, so a port swap is always possible. That’s why I love travel insurance and a flexible attitude on summer and fall cruises.
Booking Tips for Disney Cruise Line Bahamas Sailings
- Book early for the best choice. Popular dates like holidays, Halloween sailings and double dips can sell out, and prices tend to climb as sailing dates get closer.
- Castaway Club members get first dibs. When Disney opened its Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 itineraries, Pearl members could book first on Aug. 31, 2026, followed by Platinum (Sept. 1), Gold (Sept. 2) and Silver (Sept. 3), with the general public on Sept. 8, 2026. Check out the Castaway Club details.
- Know your activity booking window. Once your cruise is paid in full, first-time guests can book activities and Port Adventures 75 days before sailing. Silver members get 90 days, Gold 105, Platinum 120 and Pearl 123. Set an alarm, because popular items go fast!
- Online check-in timing: First-timers can check in 30 days before sailing. Silver members get 33 days, Gold 35 and Platinum 38.
- Book your next cruise on board. While you’re sailing, you can buy a Placeholder Reservation in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for 10% off the voyage fare of a future cruise, and you’ll have 24 months to pick a date and sail. Details are in Disney’s onboard booking FAQ.

Packing and Travel Document Basics
Most Disney Cruise Line Bahamas sailings are round trips that start and end at the same U.S. port. For those, U.S. citizens can generally sail with either a passport or an original state-issued birth certificate plus a physical government-issued photo ID. Kids 15 and under just need the proof of citizenship. Photocopies and hospital-issued certificates don’t count.
That said, I always recommend a passport. If you ever had to fly home from a foreign port, you’d really want one. Rules can change, so please double-check Disney’s Passport and Travel Documentation page for your specific sailing before you go.
A few packing must-haves for the Bahamas:
- Swimsuits, cover-ups and water shoes for island days
- Reef-safe sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat
- A light jacket for chilly dining rooms and breezy decks
- A costume for Pirate Night, and Halloween or holiday outfits if you’re on a themed sailing
- Your ID or passport in your day bag on island days (guests 18 and older need it to go ashore)

How long are Disney Cruise Line Bahamas cruises?
Most are 3, 4 or 5 nights. There are a few 6- and 7-night holiday sailings from Florida, and the Magic sails 7-night Bahamas cruises from Galveston.
