There are a ton of fantastic perks for guests staying onsite during your Walt Disney World getaway. From free Disney transportation to extra magic hours, onsite stays provide a greater degree of flexibility and even savings! That’s where Disney’s Magical Extras come in. For those unfamiliar with these slightly under-the-radar perks, you will receive a small booklet that includes discount vouchers and cards providing savings on a variety of Walt Disney World activities from shopping and dining to entertainment and recreational activities. Here’s a quick rundown of the types of discounts typically on offer and how you can take advantage of the savings during your next Walt Disney World getaway.
Minature Golf – 4 Vouchers Included – Guests can choose between two 18-hole miniature golf courses (Fantasia Gardens or Winter Summerland) where each voucher-holder will receive 1 free 18-hole round of miniature golf at one of the courses if arriving before 4:00pm. Guests should note that the voucher is only good for one round at the park of your choice and can’t be redeemed at both parks. A Voucher and Magical Extras Savings Card is required at the time of redemption. Vouchers are non-transferable and expire at midnight on the day that you check out of the resort. Replacements are not offered for lost or stolen vouchers. This discount cannot be combined with any other offers. Guests may not be able to be accommodated if either course reaches capacity crowds and the vouchers will need to be used at a later time.
Splitsville Luxury Lanes – A bowling experience like no other, guests can enjoy this fun retro-themed bowling alley which also offers tasty grub, drinks and so much more. Guests presenting your Magical Extras voucher will receive a 10% discount on the purchase of food and non-alcoholic beverages. Offer is good on a walk-in and dine-in only basis. Guests will also receive 10% off the non-discounted price of any merchandise purchased at Splittsville located on the West Side of Disney Springs.
ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex – Four Vouchers Per Package – Onsite guests can check-out the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex which hosts sporting events for athletes of all ages and offers terrific places to grab a bite during your Disney stay. Up to four guests will receive 1 general admission ticket to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The voucher is valid only on event days. Some events may require an additional admission charge. Days and hours of operation, concessions and attraction may vary. Guests are encouraged to check ahead to make sure vouchers will be accepted on the day you visit. Vouchers and Magical Extras Savings Card are required at the time of redemption. Vouchers are non-transferrable, will be void if sold and expires at midnight on the day of checkout. No replacement is offered for lost or stolen vouchers. Discount can not be combined with other discounts.
Sammy Duvall’s Water Sports – Onsite guests receive a 10% discount on the price of activities including parasailing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, tubing and personal watercraft rentals at Sammy Duvall’s Water Sports Centre at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The 10% is off non-discounting pricing, excludes merchandise and is subject to availability. Reservations can be made by calling 407.939.0754.
Planet Hollywood Observatory – Fans of the silver screen will want to head over to Disney Springs and visit this amazing eatery featuring innovative dishes and rare Hollywood memorabilia. Onsite guests receive a 10% discount on food and non-alcoholic beverages during lunch or dinner. A Magical Extras card must be presented at the time of purchase. The offer is valid for dine-in only. Gratuity is not included. Offer can not be applied to Planet Hollywood merchandise.
Ghirardelli Ice® Cream and Chocolate Shop – Chocolate lovers will definitely want to head over to Ghirardelli Ice Cream and Chocolate shop located at the Marketplace at Disney Springs. Here you can indulge in decadent sundaes, chocolate treats and drinks and receive some nice savings. Guests with a Magical Extras card will receive a 10% discount or $1 off any speciality sundaes. The discount cannot be combined with any other offers.
House of Blues® Restaurant & Bar: Have a toe-tapping good time while dining on some delicious Southern-inspired dishes at this wonderful venue. Magical Extras cardholders will receive a 20% discount on the purchase of food and non-alcoholic beverages during lunch or dinner at this West End Disney Springs eatery. The offer excludes quick service dining and is valid on dine-in only. The discounted is limited to a maximum of 6 guests per party. Gratuity is not included. As an added bonus, guests also receive 10% off the non-discounted price of merchandise. Offer excludes CD’s, art, sundries and sale items.
