Maybe we’re biased but we here at Disney Addicts can’t think of a better way to celebrate a birthday than with Disneyland Resort as your playground. If you or someone you know is celebrating a birthday during your Disneyland visit then here are half a dozen ways to add a bit of extra pixie dust to the occasion!
Pick Up Your Birthday Buttons – Let everyone at Disney know that you are celebrating something special by picking up your complimentary “Happy Birthday” button. If you are staying onsite you can get them at the front desk of your Disneyland Resort. Theme park guests can also pick up buttons at City Hall in Disneyland or Guest Services in Disney California Adventure Park. If you’re travelling with a little one celebrating a birthday, autograph books are an excellent way to gather special birthday messages from the characters you meet in the parks!
Arrange for a Special Surprise – If you’re staying at one of Disneyland’s three onsite resorts than you can surprise your loved one on their birthday with a special delivery from Disney Floral and Gifts. You’ll find everything from tasty gift baskets, floral arrangements balloon bouquets and so much more. There’s a range of options to fit all tastes and budgets! One of our favorite birthday offerings has to be the “A Mickey Birthday Wish! in-room celebration.” Disney will decorate your resort room while you are out visiting the theme parks and will fill it with all sorts of goodies including a birthday door banner, Mickey and friends themed “Happy Birthday!” balloons and a Mickey chalkboard. This celebration also includes a Mickey-themed bin overflowing with goodies like a birthday card, a birthday pink, a Disneyland picture frame and a special birthday ear hat! For more information on this and other birthday themed packages check out the Disney Floral & Gifts website here.
Dine with Some of Your Favorite Disney Friends – Make it a birthday meal that you’ll always remember by booking a character dining experience with some of your favorite Disney friends. For breakfast you can dine with characters at Plaza Inn at Disneyland, Storytellers Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa or PCH Grill at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel. Goofy’s Kitchen at the iconic Disneyland Hotel also serves up playfully fun food and character meetups for breakfast and dinner.
Make a Wish the Disney Way – Blow out the candles on a fabulous customized Disney birthday cake. You can have it delivered to select table service restaurants around Disneyland resort. Disneyland resort guests can also have them delivered directly to the rooms. Let your Disney-side shine with a range of themes. Click here for more information.
Say it With a Song – Get in the birthday or should we say “Unbirthday” mood with a visit to the Mad Tea Party where you can join your birthday guy or girl in an exciting rendition of “A Very Merry Un-Birthday.” Another fun alternative is to catch the Jambalaya Jazz Band in New Orleans Square and see if they’ll lead the crowd in a rendition of “Happy Birthday.”
Treat Them to a Spa Day – For adults looking to celebrate a birthday in style why not consider a spa package at Mandara Spa. Located at Disney’s Grand Californian, the spa specializes in Balinese practices, massaging the left side of the body and then moving to the right to achieve optimal results. They offer a wide array of spa treatments including massages, facials and wraps. Our favorites are their range of signature treatments including the Fire and Ice Massage and the Coconut Poultice Massage. Trust us when we say that a trip to Mandara is the ultimate indulgence. Advanced reservations are strongly recommended and can be booked at 714.300.7350.
These are just a handful of the many ways that you can celebrate a birthday the Disney way! Why not start planning your special getaway celebration. Disneyland Resort vacation packages are currently available to book through until the end of 2019.
