Best Disney World Resorts for a Family of Five
Most standard rooms at Disney World resorts only sleep up to four guests. What is a family of five to do when planning their magical vacation? Booking a one or two-bedroom suite at a deluxe resort is not always in the budget so here are the best Disney World resorts for a family of five.

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is a moderate level resort as well as the hub for the Disney Skyliner. Guests staying here have quick access to both Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
All of the standard rooms at this resort sleep up to five guests. The rooms have two queen beds and a twin Murphy bed. The Murphy beds are perfect for younger kids and even some older kids but not so much for adults. Pricing for this resort ranges between $190 per night to around $250 per night depending on when you travel.
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort also offers great dining locations and a fantastic pool!
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, located along the Sassogula River, is another moderate level resort that offers accommodations for a family of five. Like Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, the rooms that sleep five have two queen beds as well as a twin Murphy bed. Pricing for this resort starts around $215 per night.
Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside offers guests access to Disney Springs by boat as well as great dining, and access to its sister resort’s pool (Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter).
Disney’s All Star Music Resort
The first value resort on our list is Disney’s All Star Music Resort. This resort offers mostly standard rooms that sleep up to four but it also features family suites that sleep up to six! The family suites come with a queen bed, 1 twin sleeper chair, 1 double sleeper sofa, as well as a twin sleeper ottoman. There is also a second bathroom which is extremely helpful when getting ready in the mornings!
Guests staying at this resort will experience a fun, upbeat atmosphere. Pricing starts around $250 per night but this resort is perfect for families that want a little extra room to spread out.
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
Another value (but not quite value) resort on our list is Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. While there are standard rooms that sleep up to four guests, most of the rooms at this resort are family suites that sleep up to six. There are three different themes for the family suites: Cars, The Lion King, and Finding Nemo. The Finding Nemo rooms tend to be more expensive than the other two themes.
Family suites come with a queen bed, a double murphy table bed as well as a sleeper sofa. As with the suites at All-Star Music, there are also two bathrooms in these suites as well as a small kitchenette area. The resort is on the Disney Skyliner route, has three amazing pools, and a great food court as well.
Pricing for the family suites starts around $315 per night. This might not be the best option for guests wanting to save money but it is a fabulous resort with lots of great amenities!
Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort
Last on our list is the cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. If you are a family of five, you won’t want to miss out on a rustic stay in one of these cabins! This is definitely a unique experience and something a little less “Disney”.
The cabins offer a queen bed, bunk beds, and a double sleeper sofa bed. Up to six guests can sleep in the cabins comfortably. The cabins also come with a kitchen with dishwasher and 2 counter-top burners, a microwave, refrigerator, and toaster. If you want to cook your own meals, this is a great option.
Pricing starts around $350 per night and this resort does make transportation a bit more of a challenge. Keep that in mind when choosing where to stay.
