Can I make a dining reservation for a restaurant inside a Disney park if I do not have park admission?
This question has a two-part answer! Yes, you can make a dining reservation for Walt Disney World restaurants 180 days prior to your vacation. However, these do require a credit card hold. There can be up to a $10.00 fee, per person, for not honoring this reservation. This can vary based upon the restaurant and can add up if you do not cancel the reservation. It is important to know the booking terms when making a dining reservation.
The second part of this question is important as well. You must have park admission (park ticket) to eat at a restaurant within a Disney theme park. For example, If I made a reservation at Be Our Guest, I must have a park ticket for the Magic Kingdom on that day! Disney will not permit you into their theme park for a dining reservation without a park ticket.
This is where having a travel agent can be a HUGE asset. There are many things I do for and with my clients to ensure they have a magical vacation full of pixie dust! It is my job to eliminate problems that could occur during their stay at Walt Disney World. Dining is a huge area. You want a travel agent with expertise in this area! Here are a few things I do for my clients when they book a Walt Disney World Vacation!
- We research resorts together.
- We research and discuss dining plans and package details
- I book the resort / package of choice.
- I watch for and notify you of any discounts or promotions that could be applied to your current reservation.
- I assist with creating My Disney Experience accounts.
- I assist with linking your resort reservation to your My Disney Experience account.
- I assist with the customization of your MagicBands.
- I will help plan and arrange dining reservations to match up to park hours and help assign dining reservations to days where you will be closest to a restaurant. This helps to reduce transportation time and leaves you more time to “play.”
- I assist with fastpass+ selections.
- I create a vacation itinerary that includes confirmation numbers and tips.
- I can create touring plans to help reduce the amount of “wait times.”
- I keep open communication via email and Facebook for all clients and so much more!
- We also develop a friendship during the planning process. We bounce ideas off of each other and I share first hand experience when answering questions and concerns. This is the best part of using a travel agent! I find this very rewarding!
There is a lot of time and energy put into planning a Walt Disney World vacation! Be sure to know the booking conditions for your dining reservations and be sure to work with someone who can assist you in this area! 🙂 Have a wonderful time planning! It can be a tremendous amount of fun!
