Today marks the 25th anniversary of Fantasia Gardens! The miniature golf course opened at Walt Disney World Resort on May 20th, 1996.
Mini-golf at Disney is certainly a fun option for guests of all ages. If you enjoy playing the game, then you owe it to yourself to check out Fantasia Gardens!
Fantasia Gardens
As many of you know, the 36 holes of golf at Fantasia Gardens are split into two courses – Fantasia Gardens and Fantasia Fairways – and both are must-dos during a visit, especially this time of year!
With Fantasia Gardens, you must skillfully putt through whimsical scenes featuring tutu-clad hippos and other zany characters, including mischievous broomsticks ready to surprise passing golfers. And at Fantasia Fairways, there are fantastically fun challenges like sand traps, bunkers and even water hazards.
Winter Summerland
Winter Summerland is located next to Blizzard Beach water park and contains two 18 hole courses. The theme of the land provides the backstory of how Santa Claus discovered the area on Christmas Eve as the perfect vacation spot for himself, Mrs. Claus, and the elves. The snow and ice from Blizzard Beach provided a wintery area that reminded Santa of home in the North Pole, while the sun and sandcastles on the other half of the course included the warm Florida getaway vacation option. Both Santa and the elves couldn’t decide where to put a mini-golf course, winter side or summer side, so they built the course on both sides!
Visitors have the option to play either a Winter or Summer themed Christmas course. Playing both courses is always a fun experience to see everything there!

Golfing at Walt Disney World
How about a game of real golf? Disney World offers some of the nation’s best golf courses, so it’s worth checking out for yourself! Playing a game with your friends is a great way to start the day. Plus, you can head out for dinner and drinks at Disney Springs afterwards.
