Located at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, the Cape May Cafe is the perfect spot to start your day with Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast. This New England-style, beachside setting serves up a buffet that’s as colorful as Minnie’s dress. Dive into an ocean of breakfast options, including Mickey Mouse waffles, scrambled eggs, seasoned potatoes, sausage, and oatmeal, while Minnie, Donald, and Goofy make waves from table to table in their charming beach attire. It’s a clamshell full of fun for the whole family!
Our next character meal takes us over to the beautiful Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom. As a huge fan of Winnie the Pooh and friends growing up, this dining experience brings with it an extra touch of nostalgia. The buffet here is a smorgasbord of classic American favorites, perfect for fueling up before a busy day of magic and adventure. Breakfast includes traditional breakfast fare, freshly baked pastries, fruit, and more, while lunch and dinner include roasted carved meats, freshly prepared pasta, delicious salads, and more! Between the laughter and the ‘hunny’-inspired treats, every moment is as sweet as it sounds with Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Eeyore dropping by to say hello!
Garden Grill at EPCOT serves up a delicious meal while offering one of the most affordable character meals on property! This unique dining experience is always on the move – literally. This rotating restaurant slowly turns, giving guests a panoramic view of EPCOT’s Living with the Land attraction. The Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Harvest Feast is an all-you-care-to-enjoy family-style meal that brings the farm-to-table concept to life with fresh produce often sourced from Epcot’s own greenhouses. Chip ‘n’ Dale, along with a few other Disney pals, make the meal even more enjoyable with their mischievous antics and photo ops.
#2-Breakfast at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Perhaps one of the more controversial items on this ranking, I prefer breakfast at Akershus over the dining experience at Cinderella Castle. While both offer great character interaction, the amazing breakfast spread at Akershus in EPCOT gives this location a slight edge. Breakfast offers a bit of a twist on the standard Disney breakfast offerings with pastries, scrambled eggs, potato casserole, and Norwegian waffles on the list. The setting of a medieval castle is super fun, and the character experiences with the princesses will provide memories that last a lifetime!

Tusker House finds itself at the top of our list because it provides a fun twist on the character meal experience with a selection of food you just won’t find at the other character meals. Located in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Tusker House Restaurant offers an adventurous dining experience with Donald Duck and friends, all ready to go on safari. This buffet is a treasure trove of African flavors including Safari Bread, Mickey and Simba Waffles, and Durban Chicken and Egg Curry with Jasmine Rice for breakfast and Moroccan-Spiced Beef, Berbere-Marinated Pork, Spit-Roasted Herb Chicken and Cape Malay Green Curry Shrimp for lunch and dinner. Kids who may not have as adventurous of a palate can enjoy more traditional American foods like fruit and yogurt for breakfast, and mac-and-cheese for lunch and dinner.
Each of these top 5 character meals at Walt Disney World presents a unique experience that goes beyond dining – they’re about creating moments that are both delicious and delightful. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a seasoned park-goer, these character meals are the perfect way to add a dash of Disney magic to your day.
