Q: What characters can I meet at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party?

While some people head to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party for the tasty treats, the parades, the Happy Hallowishes fireworks display or the opportunity it provides to hit the parks in costume, a big draw for a lot of Disney-lovers has to be meeting the exciting array of Disney character that come out for this special ticketed event. We’ll give you a quick rundown of who might be lurking around the Magic Kingdom and where you might be able to find them.

Main Street U.S.A – Town Square Theater stays open late for the event so definitely head here to say hello to:

  • Mickey Mouse
  • Tinkerbell

Adventureland- As you can imagine this Land plays host to Disney friends from far-away exotic locations.  If you’re lucky you may be able to nab a photo with the following:

  • Friends from Aladdin including: Aladdin, Princess Jasmin, Abu and Jafar
  • Friends from Tarzan including: Tarzan, Jane and Terk
  • Captain Jack Sparrow

Liberty Square- Synonymous with Halloween and all things that go bump in the night, what better place for the Halloween character greeting hot-ticket?

  • Jack Skellington & Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas

Storybook Circus– Tucked away at the rear of Fantasyland this colorful circus-themed area plays host to a variety of Disney characters including:

  • The Seven Dwarfs – Yes! All seven.
  • Cruella De Vil
  • Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald & Daisy

Fantasyland- This is definitely the place to be for an encounter with some of your much-loved Disney favorites.  Here are just a few of the characters you might see on during the evening hours:

  • Princess Tiana, Cinderella & Rapunzel at Princess Fairytale Hall
  • Belle
  • Gaston
  • Alice, The Queen of Hearts and the Mad Hatter
  • Merida
  • Winnie the Pooh & Friends inlcuding: Pooh, Eeyore and Piglet
  • Ariel
  • Lady Tremaine, Anastasia, Drizilla

Tomorrowland- Head on over to rub shoulders with:

  • Buzz Lightyear or a rare appearance with
  • Lotso

Guests should note that all character greetings are subject to change.  The character greeting locations do not appear on the Not-So-Scary Halloween Party park maps so guests are advised to ask a Cast Member upon entering the Magic Kingdom to confirm exact locations.

When will the characters start meeting guests? They will usually come out to greet visitors around 7:00pm on Halloween Party nights and will stay out until around 11:30pm (with breaks in between).

Are the lines long to meet these characters? Yes.  Lines can be very long particularly when it comes to meeting some of the more rare characters.  For Jack and Sally, Seven Dwarfs or baddies like Cruella de Vil or Jafar you can expect long lines.  Its not uncommon to see guests start to line-up as early as 5:3o- 6:00pm to meet them.

If lining up to meet any of those characters listed above is a big priority this will obviously mean less time for parades, shows, or Trick or Treating but the PhotoPass photos will be amazing!

I heard I can meet characters at the Dance Parties is this true? Mickey’s Scream-O-Wean Dance Party will be bringing the grooves again this year for party-goers.  Located in Tomorrowland, past Pixar characters crawling out of the woodwork for this event have included:

  • Boo
  • Needleman
  • George Sanderson
  • Mike
  • Sully
