With the holiday season in full effect, we’ve seen lots of new offerings throughout the Disney parks and resorts as well as new decorations and Disney holiday specials! Let’s take a look at our Disney News review from the week of November 8, 2020!
Disney Springs
- Disney Springs has implemented a new contactless security screening system
- Disney Springs has fully decorated for Christmas
- The Christmas Tree Stroll is now on display throughout Disney Springs
- Disney Springs has introduced a new “Verry Merry” photo-op for the holidays
- Holiday Mickey Mousse dessert has been spotted at Amorettes in Disney Springs
- Disney Springs extends holiday hours to 11 pm starting November 13
- Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar is back at Disney Springs for the holidays
- A man was arrested at Disney Springs for impersonating a DEA agent and carrying a concealed weapon
Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park
- Jingle Buzz was spotted greeting guests in Tomorrowland
- Twice Upon a Cupcake holiday treat has been found at Disney’s Magic Kingdom park
- Hall of Presidents attraction will be receiving a magical makeover
- Orange Bird Christmas treat has been spotted at Sunshine Tree Terrace
- The stage in front of Cinderella Castle was part of the Disney Channel holiday special
- Disney is set to test fireworks at Magic Kingdom park
Disney’s Hollywood Studios Park
- A new festive Mickey holiday glow cube with frozen hot chocolate was spotted at Hollywood Studios
- Mickey’s Holiday Cookie is now available at Hollywood Studios
- Festive Red Velvet Whoopie Pie was spotted at Trolley Car Cafe in Hollywood Studios
- A new Hollywood Studios park map has made its debut
- A new holiday Hollywood Tower projection show has debuted at Hollywood Studios
- Holiday Tree Mouse has made its way to Backlot Express at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Olaf has returned to the Frozen sing-a-long at Hollywood Studios
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park
- Harambe Market is set to reopen at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park
- The Affection Section in Disney’s Animal Kingdom park will be reopening on November 15, 2020
Parks and Resorts
- Aulani Resort and Spa has released discounts for early 2021 stays
- Walt Disney World Resort is increasing park capacity to 35%
- Disney Parks revenue is down $2.4 billion according to Q4 earnings report
- Planning has already begun for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary
- Walt Disney World Resort releases park hours through January 30, 2021
Disney +
- Marvel Studios announced a new release date for WandaVision on Disney +
- Emilio Estevez to direct episodes of The Mighty Ducks series coming to Disney +
Disneyland Resort
- Disney’s Grand Californian Resort villas will be opening in December
- Disneyland reservations have been canceled through 2020
- Disneyland Resort is expected to remain closed until January 2021
