Walt Disney World: A Monster of a Good Time
Walt Disney World is undergoing a transformative period, with several exciting projects in the pipeline.
Monsters, Inc. Land: Laughter is the best medicine, and guests will soon be able to experience the hilarity firsthand as they step into the world of “Monsters, Inc.” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Guests will step into the world of Monsters, Inc., where humans are now visitors. The land will be filled with familiar characters, theming, and even a thrilling indoor coaster inspired in the famous scene where Mike, Sulley and Boo ride doors trying to scape from Randall! I don’t know about you, but this is an attraction i’ve been waiting since the movie came out and could’t be more exited!
Cars at Magic Kingdom: Get ready to rev your engines! The beloved characters from Pixar’s “Cars” are coming to Magic Kingdom, bringing with them two new attractions. Replacing the existing Tom Sawyer Island area, this land will be dedicated to the beloved Pixar franchise, featuring iconic characters and storytelling.
Villains Land at Magic Kingdom: For those who prefer a darker side to fairy tales, Villains Land is set to cast a spell on Magic Kingdom.
Tropical Americas at Animal Kingdom: Immerse yourself in the vibrant world of “Encanto” and explore the wonders of the Tropical Americas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
New Lounges: Unwind and relax at two themed lounges inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean and Spaceship Earth.
Test Track Reimagined: Experience the future of automation with a reimagined Test Track presented by Chevrolet.
New Adventures in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge: Join the Mandalorian and Grogu on exciting new adventures at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Disney Starlight: Prepare to be enchanted by a new nighttime parade, Disney Starlight, coming to Magic Kingdom. A magical procession with floats, costumes, and lighting effects.
Disneyland Resort: Expanding Magic and Nostalgia
Disneyland Resort is also embracing the future with several groundbreaking projects.
Avatar-Themed Destination: Explore even more of Pandora with a new land inspired by “Avatar: The Way of Water” and future Avatar films.
Walt Disney Audio-Animatronics Figure: Step back in time and encounter a lifelike Walt Disney figure at the Main Street Opera House.
Coco Attraction: Join Miguel on a magical journey to the Land of the Dead in a new attraction inspired by Pixar’s “Coco.” Construction will begin in 2026.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure: Experience the charm of New Orleans with Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, opening November 15, 2024.
International Disney Parks: Global Spectacles
Disney’s international parks are also in for a treat, with new shows and lands on the horizon.
- Tokyo Disneyland: Enjoy a new nighttime spectacular, “Reach for the Stars,” featuring beloved Super Heroes.
- Disneyland Paris: Experience a new nighttime spectacular and a thrilling “Lion King”-themed area at Disney Adventure World. Guests in the area will be able to shop, dine, and fully immerse themselves in this beloved story.
- Shanghai Disneyland: Swing into action with a new Spider-Man attraction. Peter Parker has gotten himself into a bit of a tough situation, and we’re along for the adventure as we join him on a high-speed coaster ride to get out of trouble.
Hong Kong Disneyland: Join Spider-Man and Tony Stark on a high-speed adventure at the third pavilion of Stark Expo in Tomorrowland. When one of Spider-Man’s most formidable foes spots the new Stark Industries technology, Spider-Man has to protect both us, and the tech, to save the day. The new attraction will be the third pavilion to open at Stark Expo in Tomorrowland.
