New to Disneyland and are unsure which rides to hit first? We have narrowed down the Disneyland attractions with the shortest wait times to help you pinpoint which rides to hit first before they become too busy. This list is subject to change due to season, holidays, or special events. Some of these we were not surprised about, others we were very surprised! Let’s start with the ones that did not surprise us too much before we move onto the rest of the attractions with low wait times.
King Arthur Carrousel
King Arthur Carrousel, located in Fantasyland in Disneyland Parks, is a nice leisurely ride fit for guests of all ages that visit the parks. Guests can board this attraction every 9 minutes or so making this attraction a short wait no matter when you go.
Mad Tea Party Cups
The Mad Tea Party cups have an average wait time of just 15 minutes! If you’re not one to get dizzy this is the perfect classic Disney attraction that you must do at least once while at the Disney Parks.
Autopia
Guests can race their own car on the Autopia ride with little to no wait! This ride has an average wait time of 18 minutes, making it one of the rides in Tomorrowland with the shortest wait times.
“It’s a Small World”
“It’s a Small World, after all, it’s a small world, after all, it’s a small, small, world!” I know, I know! Most people often avoid this ride because the song can really get stuck in your head, but you really shouldn’t skip this attraction!! As one of the original attractions on opening day, this iconic attraction really showcases Walt’s vision for Disneyland and the teamwork that goes into creating the parks. The wait time for this ride can get lengthy at times, but it averages around 20 minutes since the ride can accommodate so many people at a time.
Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage
This Disney attraction was once a popular attraction that had very long wait lines, especially when the submarine ride was first revamped with a “Finding Nemo” theme. 10 years later, the attraction is not as popular as it once was resulting in an average wait time of 22 minutes to board the ride.
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Throughout the Disney attraction, guests ride a “Hunny Pot” through the pages of a huge picture book into the Hundred Acre Wood, where you encounter Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, Owl, Rabbit, Tigger, Kanga, and Roo as they contend with a blustery day. The average wait for this slow-moving, dark ride is just 10 minutes at times.
Pinocchio’s Daring Journey
This dark ride is present in Fantasyland in Disneyland. Guests travel through Strombolli’s Puppet theater where Pinocchio is held captive in a cage backstage. From there, guests continue onto a dark adventure before ending back in Geppetto’s workshop. Guests can typically wait just over 15 minutes to journey alongside Pinocchio.
The Jungle Cruise
This popular attraction features boat tours through an animatronic jungle as hilarious, pun-filled tour-guides monologue about all of the animals you’ll see. Since the boats can seat a lot of people at a time, the wait time for this attraction can be as low as around 21 minutes.
The Haunted Mansion
Although this is a popular ride, it can accommodate a lot of people at once which keeps wait times to an average of 26 minutes at Disneyland.
