Disney Genie, Genie+, and Lightning Lane all launched at the Disneyland Resort today. These new offerings can be a bit confusing at first so let’s go over each one.

Disney Genie
Disney Genie is a complimentary service that creates your best Disney day based on your top interests. It can be found in the Disneyland app. The service also provides you with planning features, including a personalized itinerary creator. Disney Genie will give you suggestions for rides and dining options inspired by what you’re most interested in doing.
In the app you will find your plans, reservations, and Disney Genie recommendations under the “My Day” tab. The tab will begin populating at 7 am on the day of your visit. You’ll also be able to chat with a Cast Member if you have any questions.
There is also a “Tip Board” tab that will let you see estimated wait times for your top attractions, make an individual (“á la carte”) Lightning Lane purchase, and even select the next available arrival window for our Lightning Lane entrance at select attractions if you’ve already purchased Disney Genie+ service and are in a park.
You’ll also be able to mobile order food, make dining reservations, check into a restaurant and join a dining walk-up list (subject to availability) from the “Dining” tab under your “Tip Board”.

Disney Genie+
In addition to getting all of the great features that come with the complimentary Disney Genie service, purchasing Disney Genie+ service offers even more convenience and flexibility, for $20 per ticket per day.
Disney Genie+ service is available for purchase as an add-on with new ticket or vacation packages before your visit, or as a single-day purchase for existing ticket holders through the Disneyland app on the day of your park visit after park entry.
With the purchase of Disney Genie+ service, you can select the next available arrival window for Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane entrances at select attractions. You can make one selection at a time, after park entry on the day of your visit (attractions are subject to limited availability; limit one Lightning Lane selection per attraction per day). There are a variety of attractions throughout Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park that are included in this service. Guests with a Park Hopper ticket and an appropriate park reservation may cross over and switch between parks on the same day beginning at 1:00 PM to experience the attractions at the other park with this service.
With the purchase of Disney Genie+ guests also receive unlimited PhotoPass digital downloads for the day as well as Audio Tales. Discover the parks in cool new ways through fascinating fun facts and behind-the-scenes insights during your visit.
Lightning Lane Entrances
There are 2 ways to enjoy quicker access to some of your favorite attractions—go “á la carte” and purchase Lightning Lane entry arrival windows for a couple of Disneyland’s most popular attractions, and/or purchase Disney Genie+ service and enjoy Lightning Lane entry arrival windows for a different set of select attractions all day long.

Individual Purchase for Lightning Lane Entrance

Individual Lightning Lane prices can range from $7 to $20 per ticket depending on the attraction and date. Guests may purchase and select the next available arrival window for up to 2 attractions per day. This option will be available for all Guests with valid theme park admission and park reservations—with or without Disney Genie+ service.
