Question. “Do you need to make Advanced Dining Reservations at Walt Disney World? or can I just wing it?”

Answer: No. Wile the choice is yours, we STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you do. Remember, guests may begin making Advanced Dining Reservations 180 prior to arrival, although not required to.

Since The Walt Disney World Resort has a great assortment of table dining experiences to choose from, be warned however that many of the Table Service and Character Meal experiences that allow ADR’s do book up quickly. While most will still take walk ins, be prepared to wait an hour or more, especially at preferred meal times and during the busiest seasons.

If you have a large party (over 5 guests) and/or are celebrating a special occasion, you should definitely make advanced dining reservations.

You can make your dining reservations online using Mt Disney Experience site, on your Smartphone using the My Disney Experience app, or by calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463.

Reservation Cancellation:

Some restaurants may charge a fee for cancellations or no shows!

Each restaurant at Walt Disney World Resort maintains its own cancellation policy, so be sure to check the policy when you are making your reservation.

  1. Thanks for the article. I got most of my reservations lately but didnt know about the ability to reserve 10 days after your first day. So I didnt get a couple I hoped to get. Wondering if Whispering Canyon gets lined up for walk in’s? I thought that was going to be an easy reservation to get but was one of the few I didn’t get. Along with Liberty Tree Tavern…
