Question: Do I need to bring a car seat for transportation to the Disney parks?
Answer: If you are planning on using Disney transportation, then no! Car seats are not able to be used on the Disney buses, boats, or monorails. If your child is of the toddler age (weighing 22-44 pounds, up to 40 inches tall, and can sit comfortably), you may want to look into purchasing or renting a CARES harness for the plane. We used this with my son when he was almost three and it worked wonderfully and beat having to lug around a big car seat! This awesome device weighs less than a pound and fits in your carry-on bag.
If you plan on renting a car while in Disney, you can either bring your own car seat or many rental companies have car seats available for rent. Go with what you are most comfortable.
