Encanto Photo Op
Celebrate Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month in style at Disney’s Animal Kingdom with a brand-new Encanto photo op. Located at the entrance, this colorful step-in photo frame features Antonio Madrigal surrounded by a variety of animals. Antonio, who has the gift of communicating with and summoning animals, perfectly embodies the magic of the Madrigal family. You’ll also spot “Casita,” the Madrigal’s magical home, in the top left corner of the frame, adding an extra touch of enchantment.

Indulge your taste buds with an Encanto-themed cupcake at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, available in celebration of Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month. This delectable treat features a vanilla cake filled with guava and dulce de leche, topped with vanilla frosting. The cupcake is adorned with a white chocolate “Encanto” decoration, milk chocolate leaves, and crispy pearls. The frosting itself is a work of art, resembling beautiful flowers that complement the chocolate leaves. Disney Auditions continues to expand the Madrigal family by issuing an open casting call, this time for the character Luisa. Disney Live Entertainment is seeking Disney Character Look-alikes for the role of Luisa as depicted in the Walt Disney Animation Studios film Encanto. This exciting opportunity allows performers to bring Luisa to life at special events and also perform as world-famous Disney Characters at Walt Disney World Parks & Resorts.

Disney teases possible new Encanto-themed expansions for Disney’s Animal Kingdom
During the Destination D23, Disney announced possible additions and expansions to Disney’s Animal Kingdom may include Encanto-themed experiences. While details were light, Encanto would be part of a larger tropical Americas expansion that will replace DinoLand U.S.A. in Animal Kingdom.
