Dive Into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is a reimagined ride that takes over the footprint of the former Splash Mountain attraction that seamlessly integrates the story and setting of Disney’s The Princess and the Frog. Guests join Princess Tiana, Louis, and friends during Mardi Gras as they embark on a musical journey through the bayous of Louisiana, filled with lively music and magical encounters.
The Tale Continues in the Bayou
The ride’s story picks up where the film left off, with Tiana and her friends preparing for their first-ever Mardi Gras performance. As guests travel through the bayous, they encounter the vibrant flora and fauna of Louisiana and help Tiana find a lost ingredient needed for her celebratory party. The adventure showcases the spirit of New Orleans and the rich cultural heritage that defines it.
Set the Bar at 40 Inches
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is designed to be family-friendly, catering to guests of a variety of ages. Like Splash Mountain, the height requirement for this ride is set at 40 inches (102 cm), making it accessible to younger guests while ensuring safety and comfort during the more dynamic segments of the ride.
Make a Splash with Tiana
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure features a thrilling main drop of 52.5 feet. In addition to this dramatic descent, the ride also includes several smaller drops throughout, providing a dynamic and exciting experience that enhances the storytelling and the sense of adventure.

Shop ‘Til You Drop in the Bayou
Adjacent to the ride, new retail opportunities await guests. Critter Co-Op, taking over the former location of the Briar Patch shop, will likely offer a variety of merchandise including headwear, apparel, accessories, and toys, reflecting the rustic charm of the bayou.
Exiting the ride, guests will step into Tiana’s Bayou General, located in the former Splashdown Gifts space. This exit gift shop will likely feature a wide range of products including apparel, accessories, and home decor that echo the themes and aesthetics of the ride. Additionally, guests will have the opportunity to purchase on-ride photos to remember their adventure.
Want to snack after a long day of shopping? Grab a helping of Tiana’s Famous Beignets, which will be available at both Golden Oak Outpost and The Friar’s Nook.
First to the Fest: Special Previews
Before the official opening, Disney will host exclusive previews for Cast Members, Annual Passholders, and Disney Vacation Club (DVC) members. These special events provide a sneak peek of the ride, allowing Disney’s most devoted fans and employees to experience the magic first-hand. Disney has confirmed the annual passholder previews will take place on select days in June: the 13th, 14th, 16th, 17th, 18th, and 20th. The AP previews will utilize a virtual queue on each day, with the queue being available exclusively to annual passholders.
How To Ride
Disney has officially announced that a standby queue will not be available upon the attraction’s opening. Guests will need to either utilize the virtual queue system, with times available to join at 7 a.m. and 1 p.m., or purchase Genie+ and book a Lightning Lane reservation.
