The new Zootopia Land is officially open at Shanghai Disney Resort! So today we are going to help you cut through the wilderness of information so you can have the best experience when you visit this amazing new land.

What is Zootopia?
The new Zootopia experience brings to life the colorful and wild world of the animated film immersing guests with the sights and sounds of the Walt Disney Animation Studios’ movie.
The world’s first Zootopia-themed land will introduce you to the Mammalian Metropolis while also bringing the beloved animal residents of the film to life. This includes popular locales such as Mane Street, which is lined with storefronts, the many billboards of Savannah Central, and some of the other familiar spots such as Zootopia Central Station.
The colorful land presents guests with plenty of details and an authentic Zootopia experience.
Where is Zootopia?
Zootopia is located at Shanghai Disney Resort. This plays an important role in Zootopia’s storytelling since Shanghai Disney’s guiding principle of “Authentically Disney, Distinctly Chinese” is a major part of the land’s feel and creation.
“The beloved Disney Animation film Zootopia has fostered a strong connection with its audience since its debut. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring that very connection to life right here in Shanghai with this one-of-a-kind themed land,” said Joe Schott, President and General Manager of Shanghai Disney Resort.
ATTRACTIONS AT ZOOTOPIA
The major attraction is Zootopia: Hot Pursuit. The new family-friendly Hot Pursuit is not just innovative thanks to a trackless ride system, but also puts guests right in the middle of the action alongside Officers Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde. The attraction is set after the timeline of the film and invites guests to become rookie police officers as they help Judy and Nick track down criminals after a jailbreak.
MEET YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTERS
If you’re wanting to catch a glimpse of some favorite Zootopia characters, “Disney Zootopia Comes Alive,” is exactly what you’re looking for! Everyone from Fru Fru to her father Mr. Big, along with Koslov the polar bear, Flash the sloth, Yax the yak, Duke Weaselton the weasel, and even the Hopps family will interact amongst themselves (and sometimes even with you!) throughout the day from their windows.
Zootopia Police Department Recruitment Center
Officers Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps are ready to greet you over at the Zootopia Police Department Recruitment Center! Nick is even wearing an all-new look, but in typical “Wilde” style.

Jumbeaux’s Café
This whimsical café is where you can find a variety of treats, including Chocolate Marshmallows and Officer Clawhauser’s favorite The Big Donut.
Zootopia Market
Parked permanently in the streets of Zootopia, a cluster of four colorful shacks offers a variety of treats for the Zootopia Day Concert! Grab a refreshing drink from Slothful Slurps, try corn flavored popcorn at Hopps Family Farm or indulge in sweet cotton candy at Cottonball Candy cart.
Jumbeaux also has a pop-up cart here where you can grab the tasty signature frozen paw-shaped Disney Zootopia Pawsicle.

Have you ever wanted to experience the life of an elephant or maybe the tiny lemmings? Now is your chance in Zootopia! From elephant-sized benches to itty bitty doorways and even a car made to fit a giraffe, keep an eye out for these fun details in all shapes and sizes around the land.
Pay attention to the unique sounds you can hear around the land as Zootopia is a living, breathing metropolis, home to animal residents going about their daily lives. Over at the Jaguar Comedy Club, you’ll hear laughing hyenas heckling to a seemingly never-ending Sloth standup comedy act. Even Beavers need to visit the dentist, give a listen to the sounds of patients getting their fangs worked on at Beaver Dentist, and hear the bubbling mud as Rhinos enjoy a relaxing spa day at Rhino Mud Baths. If you’ve ever wanted to be a fly on the wall, now is your chance, as each and every corner offers the opportunity to listen in on the city’s residents.
Finally, we know it sounds silly, you need to visit the restrooms! Made from the materials of the Rainforest District, the tile and colors present a similar color palette, but that’s not what makes this place unique. Fitted for animals of all sizes from big and small to climbing and flying, you’ll find various-sized doors throughout. You might even just hear the animals in adjacent stalls, whether that be bits of comic business or chatting on their cell phones. We did say this place was living and breathing, right?
