It’s off to Disneyland we go! Umm, but how do I get to Disneyland from the airports?! The hotels near Disneyland will make a multi-day visit more convenient and relaxing since it is within walking distance of Disneyland’s entrance, and most hotels offer shuttle service to the park. However, this is not exactly the case from the airport to Disneyland, proving how to get to Disneyland can be a bit of a challenge.
There are multiple airports to choose from when booking your trip to Disneyland in Anaheim, California. Depending on where you are departing from, guests can choose between John Wayne Airport, Long Beach Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, Ontario International Airport, or Hollywood Burbank Airport. Let’s take a closer look at the pros and cons of transportation for each airport. For your convenience, we have listed the airports closest to furthers from Disneyland.
John Wayne Airport (SNA)
John Wayne Airport is located about 15 miles from Disneyland landing this as the closest airport to Disneyland. (CA-55 North, I-5 North). When arriving at John Wayne Airport, guests have the option of car rental, shuttles, or transportation companies.
Car Rental: Just like any airport, John Wayne Airport provides on-site rental car counters. Guests can find these counters located on the Arrivals (lower) Level between Terminals A and B, across from the statue of John Wayne. As always, these prices vary per company, distance, etc.
Disneyland Shuttle: This transportation option provides large vans that can accommodate parties of six or more. These shuttles operate daily with special rates to Disneyland Hotel or select nearby lodging. To book this service, click here.
Transportation Network Companies: Companies such as Lyft, Uber, and Wingz are always great options if you like these types of services. Guests are picked up on the top level of parking structures A2 and B2 also in the Terminal C parking structure on the upper level. Guests are dropped off on the Departures (upper) Level at curbside upon arrival of the airport.
Long Beach Airport (LGB)
Long Beach Airport is located about 24 miles from Disneyland. When arriving at Long Beach Airport, guests have the option of car rental, shuttles, or transportation companies.
Car Rental: The on-site counters are located across from the terminal.
Shuttle services: At Long Beach Airport, there are several companies which provide services from the airport to Disneyland. Some available companies are Prime Time Shuttle, American Shuttle, and Premier Shuttle. All rates vary and are subject to change.
Transportation Network Companies: Again, the following transportation companies are always a viable option. Uber, Lyft, Opoli, MVN2, and Wingz are available for pickup outside the terminal.
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)
Los Angeles International Airport is located 34 miles from Disneyland. When arriving at Los Angeles International Airport, guests have the option of car rental, shuttles, or transportation companies.
Car Rental: Major rental companies are available with shuttle pickup outside of each terminal.
Shared and private shuttle service: Just like Long Beach Airport, there are several companies that provide services from LAX to Disneyland. Guests can book the following providers: Prime Time Shuttle and Shuttle2LAX.
Transportation Network Companies: Again, Uber and Lyft are available at LAX with prices varying.
Ontario International Airport (ONT)
Ontario International Airport is located 36 miles from Disneyland. When arriving at Ontario International Airport, guests have the option of car rental, shuttles, or transportation companies.
Car Rental: At Ontario International Airport, the car rental counters are located in a different area. The airport offers a free shuttle service for rental car customers between passenger terminals and the Consolidated Rental Car Center.
Shared and private shuttle service: At Ontario International Airport the following providers are available for transportation to Disneyland: Prime Time Shuttle, and Xpress Shuttles.
Transportation Network Companies: Again, Uber and Lyft provide drop-offs and pick-ups at each terminal under the designated sign.
Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR)
The Hollywood Burbank airport is located 45 miles from Disneyland. When arriving at John Wayne Airport, guests have the option of car rental, shuttles, or transportation companies.
Car Rental: The rental car pick up and drop off is located in the Consolidated Rental Car Facility in the Regional Intermodal Transportation Center which is about a seven-minute walk from the terminal. An elevated moving walkway is available and wheelchair service can be arranged. (818-795-6087)
Shuttle services: At the Hollywood Burbank Airport there are several shuttle service providers to Disneyland. The following providers are available: Prime Time Shuttle and Roadrunner Shuttle.
Transportation Network Companies: Broken record here. Again, Uber, Lyft, Wingz, and Opoli serve Hollywood Burbank Airport with pickup at the ground transportation island across from Terminal B.
