How Disney Celebrates The Holiday Traditions In Epcot!
Epcot has always been a place where you can learn about different cultures from around the world and the holiday season is no exception. Like every year during Festival of the Holidays, you can walk around the World Showcase and learn about the different holiday traditions from different countries, it’s so much fun!

Each country has a storyteller sharing with guests all about their traditions like Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, Lunar New Year and more with stories told through music, dance and performers in traditional costumes.
For example, for Hanukkah, Disney Live Entertainment consulted with members of the Jewish faith, including a Rabbi and Cantor, and other organizations who reviewed the script, music and other elements that bring the show to life! The team also talked with Disney International Program cast members to make sure the storytellers are portraying these holiday traditions that will get passed down from generation to generation in the right way.
These experiences around the world showcase feature music, imaginative staging and audience participation to make sure everyone has fun while learning something new. So it’s definitely worth taking some time to stop by and get immerse into the different cultures around the world.
You can also look these holiday scrolls at each pavilion to learn about their traditions! For example, in China, the scroll tells the story of the Chinese tradition of exchanging small gifts in red envelopes or red wrapping paper to extend good fortune to family members and friends.
