Questions about dining are tricky; this is because each traveling party and each person within that party is different. Everyone has different eating habits and different tastes.

There are so many dining options at Disney World, in the parks, at resorts, and at Downtown Disney (Disney Springs), so finding something that everyone in your party will enjoy is simple. However, the price for pleasing everyone is certainly something you have to take into consideration.

Some things to think about are:

  • How many people are in your traveling party?
  • If there are only two of you (or even three with the third being a small child), are you willing to share food with that person if saving money is an issue?
  • Do you want to eat in the parks?
  • What types of restaurants do you want to eat at?

If you take food with you, or have groceries delivered to your room, for breakfast and eat two quick service meals a day with no park snacks in between you will be averaging between $20 and $40 per person per day.

If you want to eat three quick service meals a day at your resort and in the parks with no park snacks your meals will average between $30 and $60 per day per person.

Once you start to add in table service meals and snacks the prices start to add up.

A table service meal can range from $15.99 (for an entrée) per person to $100 per person. Snacks can range in price from $4 to $10. The good things about snacks, though, is that many of them are easily shareable! There are also appetizers, entrées, and desserts out there that are made for two which can help to save you money.

On all five of my Disney World trips I have used the Disney Dining Plan which has allowed me and my family to sample many, many amazing Disney foods. While this is not about the dining plan, I will say, that if we did not use the dining plan we would not eat at the places that we do.

Like I said, this is a hard question to answer and it really is different for each and every person. However, contact me at miriyawhitaker@worldofmagictravel.com and we can work out a budget that is just right for your and your family!

P.S. – You can save a little money by ordering groceries from Garden Grocer delivered to your room. Great for snacks, water, and even alcohol!
