I had the chance to preview this land not once, but twice (because one Viking raid is never enough), and I’m here to tell you: this island isn’t just epic by name, it’s epic by nature.

Welcome to the Village of Vikings and Dragons
Berk isn’t just a land, it’s a living, breathing Viking village nestled in cliffs of epic rockwork, with 15.5 acres of immersive detail and over 30 dragons of 17 different species swooping in and out of view. Guests enter through a themed portal that seamlessly transports you from the sleek architecture of Celestial Park into a rugged island where dragon-riding is as common as goat-herding.
Whether you’re here to race dragons, train with Ruffnut and Tuffnut, or just feast like a war-hardened Viking, Berk delivers a full-scale adventure from sky to sea.
The Attractions: Fly, Soak, and Soar
- Hiccup’s Wing Gliders: Hop aboard Hiccup’s latest invention, a coaster that simulates the joy (and occasional panic) of dragon flight. Reaching speeds up to 45 mph, this ride is as close as you’ll get to riding a Night Fury without violating dragon airspace laws.
- Dragon Racer’s Rally: Think “training wheels,” but for dragon racing. This aerial ride lets you control your own flight path, from gentle glides to barrel rolls. You pick your thrill level — mild or wild!
- Fyre Drill: This interactive boat ride is part competition, part comedy, and all splash zone. Armed with water cannons, guests take on flame-shaped targets (and each other) in a soaking-wet Viking showdown.
- Viking Training Camp: For your smallest dragon warriors, this is the place to climb, slide, launch sheep (yes, really), and burn off those mead hall calories.
Shows and Character Experiences: Fire-Breathing Fun
- The Untrainable Dragon: This stage show combines puppetry, music, and storytelling into one emotional fireball. Toothless even soars over the audience (and yes, it’s just as jaw-dropping as it sounds). It’s a heartwarming tale with enough scale to impress even Stoick the Vast.
- Haddock Paddock: Snap a selfie with Hiccup and Toothless, then stick around for surprise encounters with Astrid, Ruffnut, Tuffnut, and even baby Night Lights! Gobber and Grump are also hard at work in the village forge.
Eat Like a Viking (Or a Hungry Dragon)
- Mead Hall: This cavernous dining hall serves up the legendary Thawfest Platter (chicken, salmon, sausage, and more), Sullen Sea Sandwich, and sweet treats like Stormfly’s Catch of the Day. Wash it all down with Viking-approved meads, ales, and ciders.
- Spit Fyre Grill: Featuring flame-seared bowls cooked by a helpful (and thankfully unseen) dragon, this quick-service spot brings the heat in all the right ways.
- Hooligan’s Grog & Gruel: Mac & cheese cones anyone? Grab one for the road and fuel up for your next dragon duel.
Shop ‘Til You Drop (Your Sword)
- Toothless’ Treasures: Apparel, collectibles, and dragon merch galore. If you’ve ever wanted to wear your love for Toothless on your sleeve, literally, this is your spot.
- Viking Traders & Hiccup’s Work Shop: Helmets, shields, swords, and cosplay gear await those brave enough to embrace their inner Berkian.
- How to Treat Your Dragon: Sweets with a side of mystery! Try the chocolate dragon eggs or sheep-shaped marshmallows, and collect dragon house-themed trading cards while you snack.
