Mulan World Princess Week

The royal celebration continues this time with Mulan as part of World Princess Week!

Today we celebrate our favorite warrior, a character that taught us that you can blossom in the face of adversity as she proved her worth outside of her tradition-bound society. Mulan also defied all odds and proved that anything is possible when you believe in yourself and have courage, passion and determination.

So let’s take a look at the different ways you can celebrate Mulan in Disney Parks around the world:


Let’s start with China, over at Shanghai Disneyland, you can go aboard Mickey’s Storybook Express for a train themed parade! This extravaganza is led my Mickey Mouse and filled with fantasy, fun and music.

You can also say hi to Mulan as she ride on her beloved Khan as she ventures off to the defeat the Huns. And on Voyage to the Crystal Grotto, you can travel on an enchanting excursion, where you’ll drift past beautiful sculpture gardens featuring characters from the movie.

Shanghai Disney

You can also catch Mulan in Mickey’s Storybook Adventure, a live show at Shanghai Disneyland! After the show, you can head to a Mulan-themed room at Royal Banquet Hall and have a delicious meal!

If you have plans to set sail on the Disney Wonder or Disney Dream then you have to check out “The Golden Mickeys”, a tribute to enchanting Disney animated movies like Mulan! The production is action-packed and even features fan favorite anthem “I’ll Make A Man Out Of You”!


In Florida you can find Mulan over at the China pavilion in Epcot or during the Royal Princess Processional at Magic Kingdom Park!


You can learn some fierce warrior poses with Mulan between courses at Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures at Napa Rose in Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel!


If you have the chance, you have to check our the Castle of Magical Dream which was modified for the 15th anniversary of the park and was the first time in any Disney theme park that a castle shifted from being representative of only one Disney Princess to featuring multiple including Mulan!

If pay close attention, you will notice architectural elements that pay tribute to Mulan’s story including an embossed cherry blossom motif with gold accents on a rose gold dome. Her tower also features jade corners and architectural ornamentation in the form of crossed golden spears, symbolizing Mulan’s heritage and fearless, warrior spirit. The golden finial on top features her faithful companion Mushu!

For book fans, you will love these stories like “A Place for Mulan” a picture book that tells an all new, original story based on the world and characters of the live action Mulan. “Disney Before the Story: Mulan’s Secret Plan” tells the story of Mulan as a little girl!

For older readers, “The Queen’s Council: Feather and Flame” tells a reimagined story of Mulan that blends with real history.
