The theme parks at Walt Disney World are all getting makeovers and extra touches for the 50th-anniversary celebration. Next to get a new look for the celebration is Magic Kingdom. Let’s take a look at what’s special for the big celebration!
Guests at the Magic Kingdom today were greeted with a new addition to celebrate Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary a super cute cake, along with matching Mickey and Minnie Topiaries.
The 50th Anniversary cake has the EARidescence look that is featured throughout the Magic Kingdom including the upcoming Disney Character Costumes.
The new topiary display is just in front of the 50th Anniversary sign they installed at the Main Street Station a few weeks ago.
Let’s not forget the Citizen clock on Main Street! The clock is now an “EAR-idescent” gold color with 50th Anniversary banners hanging off. There’s also the number “50” on top of the clock to commemorate the 50th anniversary.
The banners indicate that Citizen is still the official timepiece of Walt Disney World’s 50th-anniversary celebration.
Even the lampposts are part of the makeover!
The lampposts lining Main Street USA in Magic Kingdom have received a golden upgrade. The lampposts are not completely gold like the clock on Main Street. Instead, the traditional green lamppost now has a gold accent at the top and around the base.
Will you be visiting Walt Disney World during the 50th anniversary celebration? The celebration will last 18 months so you have plenty of time to visit!
