Thinking of taking a trip to Disneyland soon? Look no further than these magical must do’s while at Disneyland that will make you want to jump on a plane or in the car and head towards California!
Let’s get right into it! If you don’t already know, which I am sure you have heard by now, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is officially open at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World! If you are a huge Star Wars fan, or even if you are not, this is the place to be! We can’t tell you how amazing this new land is. The Imagineers did not leave out any detail, not that they do for anything they do, but guests visiting the new land have left in awe and with plenty of souvenirs while immersing themselves in the remote planet of Batuu. While you are there sample galactic food and beverages such as the blue and green milk before you explore an intriguing collection of merchant shops. Before you leave, make sure to take the controls of the most famous ship in the galaxy aboard Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.
Speaking of rides, the rides at Disney are amazing!! We have a few favorites in our house, but the number one ride that we must go on EVERY time we visit is Splash Mountain. For one the ride is a zippity-doo-dah time that makes you sing and dance throughout the ride. Second, let’s talk about the super fun photopass photos that you can take while you go down the final drop! Fun fact: This ride opened for guests on July 17, 1989, and just celebrated its 30th birthday!
When you are not zipping down a river in a log boat, be sure to hop aboard “the wildest ride in the wilderness” on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad! Watch out for those goats as you twist and turn through the mysterious mines! Once you are done with those two famous mountains head over to the third mountain, Space Mountain! Travel through space at warp-speed as you twist and turn through the stars!
Even though the rides and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is magical must do’s while at Disneyland, the most magical moments for me and my family is seeing the castle. When people say when you see it it will take your breath away, they weren’t kidding! I am also not ashamed to say that I have cried. It makes me feel happy and worry-free while at Disney and seeing that castle for the first time just helps melt the stress away from my everyday life. With the recent refurbishment of Sleeping Beauty Castle, the view of the castle is even more breathtaking.
Last on the magical must do’s list is, of course, fireworks! No vacation is complete when you visit either Walt Disney World or Disneyland is to stay for a firework show. These shows are not like anything you have ever experienced! They are breathtaking, wondrous, magical, magnificent, colorful, melts your heart shows! They are absolutely a must-do every trip.
Do you have any must do’s when you visit Disneyland?
