Remember Mylo? The white rhino that was born at Animal Kingdom a few months ago? Well, he is now old enough to join his 1 year old brother Ranger and the rest of the rhinos on the savanna!

Mylo is now 4 months old and was extremely happy to be out on the safari, he immediately started wallowing in the mud and exploring this new environment along the rest of the white rhinos. Guests aboard the Kilimanjaro Safaris had a chance to see him playing around with his family.

The Animal Kingdom team hopes seeing a rhino in person inspire guests to connect with these creatures and spark a lifelong respect and passion for nature that extends beyond the theme parks and into action and conservation for the species.

Speaking of rhinos, the third rhino born in Animal Kingdom just received her name and is Logan! A combination of the parents names Lola and Dugan. She is still too young to be out on the savanna so for now she will continue bonding backstage with mom for at least a few more months.

The birth of these three rhinos were part of the Species Survival Plan that is overseen by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums to ensure responsible breeding of endangered species in managed care. Definitely a big milestone for the animal care team experts and the culmination of a journey that started nearly two years ago along with scientists, veterinarians and keepers whose expertise made this possible, so thank you!
