McKIM’S MILE HOUSE

Magic Kingdom Lounge

First up, Magic Kingdom just got a brand-spankin’ new DVC lounge, and it’s all about that Frontierland vibe. Forget fighting for a bench, now you can chill in McKim’s Mile House.

So, picture this: you’re strolling through Frontierland, maybe you just got off Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and you’re ready for a break. Well, Disney Vacation Club members, you’re in luck! This new lounge, McKim’s Mile House, is like stepping into an old-timey Western hotel. It’s named after Sam McKim, a Disney Legend who helped design the original Frontierland, which is pretty darn cool. They’ve even woven a whole story around it, like it’s run by a fictional McKim family of hospitality pioneers.

And get this, the Imagineers didn’t just throw some chairs in a room. They went all out with the details! There are “boarding rooms” that look like they belong to characters from Frontierland, like Barnabas T. Bullion from Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and even a shout-out to Marc Davis. You can imagine all sorts of stories playing out while you’re relaxing. Plus, there are cute little touches like drawings “made by the McKim children,” and of course, free soft drinks, Wi-Fi, and charging ports. Basically, it’s your own little oasis in the middle of the park. Just remember, you need to be an eligible DVC member with valid park tickets and reservations to get in, and it’s open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

GEO-82

GEO-82

Now, let’s hop over to EPCOT, because Spaceship Earth is getting its own lounge, and it sounds seriously swanky! It’s called GEO-82, and it’s gonna be a 21-and-over spot, which means grown-up time! Think innovative cocktails and globally inspired small plates, all while you’re soaking in amazing park views. Sounds like the perfect way to end an EPCOT day, right?

GEO-82

What’s really cool is that they’re designing it to feel like it’s actually part of Spaceship Earth. Apparently, you’ll be surrounded by shapes and structures that echo the iconic sphere, with rich textures and warm, metallic tones. So, it’s gonna be super immersive and elegant. It sounds like they’re going for an intimate, upscale vibe, which is a nice change of pace from the hustle and bustle of the park. It’s set to open this year, and I’m already picturing myself sipping a fancy drink while watching the sunset over EPCOT. Cheers to that!
