When will Disney resume sales of Annual Passes at Walt Disney World?
Frequent Walt Disney World travelers have been anxiously awaiting the return of Annual Pass Sales since sales were halted in 2021. Florida residents, such as myself, are still able to purchase an Annual Pass, however, the new pass sales are limited to the lowest-tier Pixie Pass, which does not afford park access on the Weekends and comes with blackout dates. Current pass holders were also able to renew, meaning those with the top-tier Incredi Pass could maintain the pass provided it was renewed within the allotted renewal period.
Disney just recently announced that all annual pass sales are soon resuming! Beginning on April 20, 2023, all four Annual Passes will be on sale. It is important to note that Disney stated the number of passes will be limited and passes, or a pass type, may become unavailable for purchase at any time. So what are the various pass options and price points? Let’s dig in!

Disney Pixie Dust Pass (Florida Residents Only)
This is the ‘lowest-tier’ pass option available. The Pixie Dust pass affords admission to one or more Walt Disney World Resort theme parks Mondays through Fridays during certain times of the year with an advance park reservation (note on April 18 the requirement for park reservations for annual pass holders is being relaxed, with park reservations not required to attend a park after 2 pm, except for weekends at Magic Kingdom).
The current price for the Pixie Dust Pass is $399.00 + tax, with the option to add on Photo Pass for $99 per pass and the Water Parks and Sports Option for $99 per pass (we will dig into these options a bit later).
Disney Pirate Pass (Florida Residents Only)
The Pirate Pass is the pass level above the Pixie Dust Pass (and is the pass my family and I currently have). The Pirate Pass affords admission to one or more Walt Disney World Resort theme parks all week during certain times of the year with an advance park reservation.
Blackout dates for the Pirate Pass occur during normal high-volume days at the parks, such as the week leading up to Christmas through the week after New Years, Easter Week, Memorial Day Weekend, July 4th, Labor Day Weekend, and Thanksgiving Week. The current price of the Pirate Pass is $749.00 + tax, with the option to add on Photo Pass for $99 per pass and the Water Parks and Sports Option for $99 per pass.
Disney Sorcerer Pass (Florida Residents and Eligible DVC members Only)
The Sorcerer Pass is the next pass tier, and will be available to both Florida Residents and Eligible DVC members (DVC members can start purchasing the Sorcerer Pass on April 13, while Florida residents can purchase a new Sorcerer Pass on the 20th). The Sorcerer Pass affords admission to one or more Walt Disney World Resort theme parks all week during certain times of the year with an advance park reservation.
Blackout Dates for the Sorcerer Pass are far fewer than with the Pirate and Pixie Passes, with only the week of Christmas through the week after New years blacked out. The current price of the Sorcerer Pass is $969.00 + tax, with the option to add on Photo Pass for $99 per pass and the Water Parks and Sports Option for $99 per pass.
Disney Incredi Pass (All Guests)
The Disney Incredi Pass is the Top Tier pass offered by Disney, affording admission to one or more Walt Disney World Resort theme parks without blackout dates, subject to Park Pass availability. The current price of the Incredi Pass is $1,399.00 + tax, with the option to add on Photo Pass for $99 per pass and the Water Parks and Sports Option for $99 per pass.

Annual Pass Ad-Ons
As mentioned above, Annual Passholders can elect to purchase two add-ons to their passes: Photo Pass Downloads and the Water Parks and Sports Option. Both add-ons cost $99 each per pass. The Photo Pass add-on provides access to all photos taken by Photo Pass photographers, attraction photos, magic shots, and photos taken during a Capture Your Moment Session.
The Water Parks and Sports Option is, in my opinion, the best bang for your buck of any Annual Pass tier or option available. For just an additional $99 per pass, you are afforded access to both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, golf at the 9-hole Oak Trail Golf Course, and mini golf prior to 4:00 PM at both Disney’s Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course and Disney’s Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course.
Additional Passholder Perks
There are additional benefits to being an Annual Passholder other than admission to the parks. Passholder-exclusive events, such as the TRON previews, provide Annual Passholders with access to new attractions before the official opening date. Annual Passes also include standard parking at the Walt Disney World theme parks, with premium parking available for just the cost difference between standard and premier.
Passholders also receive discounts on merchandise and many table-service restaurants. There are also limited-time perks that are offered throughout the year, such as exclusive drink offerings, discounts on tours, pass holder-exclusive room discounts at Walt Disney World resort hotels, and more!
