Ride the Rails with Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway in Disneyland

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway opened in Disneyland on Friday, January 27! This is the first ride-through attraction featuring Mickey Mouse at the Disneyland Resort. The ride takes guests on a wacky train ride through the cartoon “Perfect Picnic” starring Mickey and Minnie Mouse. While the ride is super cute and fun, the queue is just as amazing!

The queue is full of props, outfits, and movie posters from Mickey’s films over the years. Also, at the beginning of the queue guests will see movie posters for films the toons have taken from our world and remade as their own. How adorable and clever are they?!

Some of the props you’ll see in the queue include the plane from “Plane Crazy”, the desk from “Mickey’s Christmas Carol”, and the throne from “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice”. Be sure to read the plaques describing the set pieces, some are very humorous.

One of the most talked about spots in the queue is the concession stand! The popcorn being sold is shaped like some of our favorite characters! Look closely and you’ll see Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Donald Duck! The only thing we’re sad about is the popcorn not being real.

Once you enter the theater you are transported into the wacky and unpredictable cartoon world of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, where you’ll board a train engineered by Goofy and embark on a zany adventure. Take a look at the full ride-through video below:
