Shanghai Disney Resort Celebrates 10th Anniversary TODAY

Can you believe it’s been a decade? Shanghai Disney Resort is officially hitting the big 1-0, and they are throwing a year-long bash starting March 20 that is honestly next-level. The theme is With You, It’s Magic+, and the whole park is getting a glow-up with shimmering décor, exclusive snacks, and some seriously cool new entertainment. If you’ve been looking for an excuse to book a trip, this is definitely it.

Castle Magic and Parade Upgrades

The Enchanted Storybook Castle is the star of the show with a brand-new production called The Heart of Magic. They’ve actually added three new satellite stages and bridges so the characters can get closer to the crowd. You’ll see everyone from Mickey to the crew from Turning Red, and big news for fans: Hercules and Miguel (from Coco) are making their major debuts!

Plus, the nighttime spectacular Illuminate! is getting a fresh finale featuring Mickey in a magician outfit and a special segment inspired by the movie Wish.

The parade is getting some love too. Mickey’s Storybook Express is adding two huge highlights. First up is the FriendSHIP! float, a golden boat carrying Duffy and all seven of his friends in their birthday best.

Then, there’s the Zootopia party bus! It’s basically a high-energy street party on wheels with Gazelle’s concert bus, DJ Officer Clawhauser spinning tracks, and characters like Gary De’Snake and the Big family joining Nick and Judy for a “Try Everything” singalong.

Treats, Swag, and Star Power

You can’t have a birthday without food, right? In a cool nod to Chinese tradition, birthday noodles are popping up on menus all over the resort. They’re also bringing back fan-favorite snacks from the last ten years and dropping some must-have souvenirs, like new popcorn buckets and straw clips.

If you’re a shopper, get ready, this is the biggest merchandise launch in the park’s history. They’re even debuting a Magic Wand that lets you collect magic around the park.

Surprises Around Every Corner

The vibes are going to be immaculate thanks to the Star Squad and Magic Squad, teams of performers and cast members who will be popping up to create mini-moments and surprise interactions. Even your park ticket is a keepsake! Starting March 20, the tickets feature 30 different characters and double as puzzle pieces. Between the digital “My Magic Star” experience and the hidden 10 motifs scattered through the hotels and Disneytown, the celebration is literally everywhere.
