Should Disney End Guests Drinking Around the World in Epcot?

Epcot is a great park for guests to try different foods and drinks from around the world. The popular trend of “Drinking Around the World” is a guest-led activity where guests try alcoholic beverages from each country in World Showcase. During festivals, even more international drinks are available for guests to purchase. Some are wondering if this drinking culture needs to end.

Many guests have complained online about witnessing incredibly drunk and rude adults at Epcot. There have even been times when drunk guests have been escorted out of the park. There are also stories of drunk guests throwing up in the bushes/gardens at Epcot and even one about a guest climbing the pyramid in the Mexico pavilion.

Many guests are wondering if Disney should put a stop to “Drinking Around the World” since theme parks are supposed to be more family friendly. Parents, children, and sober adults visit the parks as well. I’m sure Disney does their best to not over-serve guests but it’s probably pretty difficult to keep track of that.

Do you think drinking has gotten out of hand at Epcot? How do you think Disney could stop “Drinking Around the World”?
