Should Guardians Of The Galaxy Take Over Tower Of Terror At Hollywood Studios?
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror has been taking us to another dimension at Hollywood Studios since 1994, the attraction is now the icon of the park and we are here for it. Ever since its opening in Florida, different versions of the ride have been added to different parks around the world, but today we are going to focus on one that recently change its theme completely.
Back in 2004, Disney California Adventure welcomed the Tower of Terror attraction daring guests to go on a ride that will transport them to another dimension of sound, sight and mind, i still remember i got an “I survived” sticker at the exit of the ride that i still keep to this date, this was the first tower of terror attraction i went on and loved it.

Now, after riding the Disney California Adventure version, going to the Florida one blew my mind, the amount of details were better, it was bigger and the ride time was longer, without further explanation, this attraction became my favorite of Disney Parks in general.
Working for Disney and living in Florida allowed me to go the parks often and enjoy this attraction over and over again. So even though the DCA version was the first one i knew, the Florida version became my favorite for sure, but that doesn’t mean that when the news that a re-theme for the California version came in 2016, i wasn’t devastated.
I understand Guardians of the Galaxy works with the whole Marvel theme at Disney California Adventure but seeing the iconic Tower of Terror go away was sad and it got me thinking that maybe a re-theme for the Florida version will come soon. Thankfully, that hasn’t happened and i don’t think it will, the Hollywood Tower Hotel goes perfectly with the Hollywood theme of the park, and even though we have seen rumors about a change specially after Disney got rid of the famous sign on the road leading to the parks, a change would not be a smart move from Disney.
I think is important to keep the Hollywood Studios version intact, at least one of the USA parks has to have it, it would be weird to have this iconic attraction at international parks and not here, specially since this was the first version and a favorite among guests. Plus as of now, another theme wouldn’t work at Hollywood Studios, what do you think? Let us know!
