Haunted Mansion Holiday returned to Disneyland Resort on September 2. This spooky holiday overlay is only added to the Haunted Mansion attraction at Disneyland Resort, not Walt Disney World. With how popular it is, should it be added to Disney World’s Haunted Mansion attraction too?
What is Haunted Mansion Holiday?
Haunted Mansion Holiday is a ride overlay that transforms The Haunted Mansion attraction at Disneyland into a Nightmare Before Christmas theme. This change usually happens in early September and the attraction remains with the overlay until early January. The transformation also means that The Haunted Mansion attraction does need to close for refurbishment before and after every Haunted Mansion Holiday.
Why doesn’t Disney World have the overlay?
The only other Disney park with a version of the Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay is Tokyo Disneyland. However, many guests who frequent Walt Disney World would love to see it there!
Would guests be willing to deal with the refurbishment closures that the overlay requires? Having special unique experiences and attractions at different parks makes each park special, so some guest would probably choose to keep the overlay at the two current parks that already have it. Personally, I would love to see HauntedMansion Holiday come to Walt Disney World!
