Should The Main Street Electrical Parade Come Back to Disney World?

While Walt Disney World Resort is busy celebrating its huge 50th-anniversary celebrations, another 50th anniversary is celebrated on the west coast at Disneyland Resort. The Main Street Electrical Parade is finishing up its 50th anniversary run at Disneyland Resort. This leaves us who frequent Walt Disney World wondering why this fantastic parade wasn’t brought back for the epic celebrations at Walt Disney World. Here’s why I think the parade should be brought back to Florida.

The Big 50th Anniversary

To state the obvious, both Disney World and the Main Street Electrical Parade are celebrating their 50th anniversary! How perfect would it have been to bring back this popular nostalgic parade to Disney World as part of the Most Magical Celebration on Earth? I know I would have absolutely loved to see this parade going down Main Street at Disney World again.

The Merchandise

If you’ve been to Disney World during the 50th-anniversary celebrations, you’ve seen all of the awesome new merchandise specially made to commemorate the occasion. Well over at Disneyland, guests can find special 50th-anniversary merchandise to commemorate the Main Street Electrical Parade’s 50th anniversary. If the parade returned to Disney World there would be a whole new world of merchandise opportunities celebrating two 50th anniversaries!

Now that we know September 1, 2022, will be the last day for the Main Street Electrical Parade at Disneyland Resort, is there a chance the parade could return to Disney World to finish off the anniversary celebrations? We can certainly hope so!
