NEW ATTRACTIONS

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway opened on January 27th! Similar to the same ride at Walt Disney World, guests can join Mickey and Minnie in one of their cartoons and things get a little whacky. The new ride is so much fun and you won’t want to miss the queue! The Toontown Hysterical Society has put all of Mickey’s film props, outfits, movie posters, and more on display for us to enjoy. There are only two ways to experience this attraction. Either through the virtual queue or by purchasing an Individual Lightning Lane. The virtual queue will open at 7 am and 1 pm.

Mickey’s Toontown is currently under construction while it receives a renovation. The area of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway and Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin is open for guests (though the Roger Rabbit ride is still closed). The rest of Mickey’s Toontown is still being transformed. The area is scheduled to reopen on March 8, 2023.

The Disney Gallery Presents: Disney 100 Years of Wonder. Be sure to stop by The Disney Gallery during the Disney100 celebration! It is a new exhibit inspired by Walt Disney’s vision for Disneyland as a place where his films come to life. You can see where film inspired attractions and attractions inspired films. If you love Disney history, this is the place to be!

Entertainment

World of Color – ONE at Disney California Adventure tells the powerful story of how a single action – like a drop of water – creates a ripple that can grow into a wave of change. Paradise Bay is transformed with a dazzling array of fountains, lighting, lasers, fog and flame effects, harmonized with songs and stories of courageous, loving and inspiring characters who dared to be wavemakers and change the world.

Guests will discover that it only takes one action to make an impact on the people in our lives and the world around us, just as one man – Walt Disney – started the wave that has continued to grow and inspire people around the globe for 100 years.

Wondrous Journeys at Disneyland is a tribute to 100 years of Walt Disney Animation Studios, this new spectacular by Disney Live Entertainment features nods to all of the iconic studio’s films to date in a journey filled with artistry, music, storytelling and heart. Walt’s original magic kingdom becomes a magnificent canvas with lighting effects, projections and more. “Wondrous Journeys” ignites the dreamer in all of us, illustrating the possibilities, excitement, heartache and determination we all face when working to make our dreams come true.

Decor

The entire Disneyland Resort is decorated with blue, purple, and platinum decorations. From banners on buildings to giant medallions featuring the Disney100 logo and the three good fairies from Sleeping Beauty, there is something new to catch your eye almost everywhere you look. Also, be on the lookout for new Disney100 character statues of Mickey, Minnie, and others!

Disney Food & Collectibles

Throughout the parks you’ll find different Disney100 foods and collectibles. The foods are mostly sweets and desserts (which I don’t mind!) and everything we tried was delicious! The Disney100 Mickey Balloon Popcorn bucket is very popular so get it if you have the chance. There is also a new Disney100 Mickey Mouse sipper-isn’t he so cute?

Characters

Some of our favorite characters have brand-new outfits just for the Disney100 celebration! Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto, Chip, and Dale all have fancy new platinum and purple outfits. Make sure you stop and grab a photo or two with them!

These are just a few of the not to miss things at the Disneyland Resort during the Disney100 celebration!
