Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has beautiful new Mary Poppins themed rooms! That’s just one of the reasons we LOVE this resort!
The bathroom has a double sink with gold accents. The mirror is lighted with a beautiful design. The artwork in the bathroom looks like a scene from one of Bert’s chalk drawings in Mary Poppins. The vanity is now across from the bathroom rather than near the beds. The wall features a beautiful floral design with birds. This room had 2 queen beds with white bedding. Accent pillows were an aqua blue with white. The headboards were dark blue. Both beds are raised so luggage can be stored underneath.
Between the beds is a nightstand with a phone and lamp. The lampshade features floral silhouettes along with Mary Poppins’ umbrella.
There is also a light blue sofa across from the beds along with a table. Above the sofa is artwork depicting Cherry Tree Lane and Mary Poppins’ arrival. The sofa folds down into a daybed for a 5th guest. The closet is now near the beds where the vanity used to be. The doors feature a beautiful grey floral design.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort has amazing Incredibles themed rooms! In between the rooms, you’ll see pictures like the one above. They feature the Parr family in their superhero uniforms.
Inside, there is a modern-looking bathroom with a separate toilet room. It had a shower/tub combo and a double vanity. The mirror features a fun monorail design and inside the toilet room is artwork featuring Jack-Jack. Outside of the bathroom you’ll see the closet. The doors are a vibrant red and when you open them you’ll find plenty of space to hang your clothes alongside the Incredibles’ super suits! There’s also a space for your luggage and a set of drawers. Next to the closet is the drink area. There is an ice bucket along with a Keurig coffee maker. Inside the top drawer you’ll find coffee cups, coffee pods, sugar, and creamer.
This room was able to sleep 5 guests. There were 2 queen beds, each with a character pillow, and a couch that folded into a daybed. The beds are elevated to provide storage underneath. They also feature white bedding with gray headboards. Between the beds is a nightstand. Even if you don’t plan to store anything in the drawer, be sure to open it! Inside you’ll see a to-do list, a familiar math book, cookie crumbles, sunglasses, and a very special remote!
Opposite of the beds is a red couch, TV, table, and lamp. The lamp is a cool futuristic looking piece and the table has a very modern look. As we said previously, the couch folds down into a daybed for a 5th guest which is great for larger groups.
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has tropical Moana themed rooms! These reimagined spaces feature a new color palette inspired by the Pacific Ocean and its many islands, including details, patterns and textures from the hit Disney Movie “Moana” – look closely and you might even spot some characters from the story like Hei Hei & Maui!
You’ll also see all-new furnishings and fixtures. In the bathrooms, for instance, Disney Imagineers took inspiration from the sandy ocean floor for the tiles and carved details in the vanity. The colorful patterns found throughout the room bring a whole new energy to the space, evoking undulating ocean waves and tropical flowers.
All three deluxe resorts are also on the monorail line and also have boat access to Magic Kingdom, offer great dining options, and other amazing perks! The rooms are just one of the reasons we love these three resorts and think everyone needs to experience them!
